Watched the Miami and Florida game. Miami was down by 2 with 32 seconds left. L calls one of his two remaining timeouts to set up a play for his hot shooter. Guy drills the 3. Then L calls a timeout with 3 sec left, with the lead, on the inbounds play. Must be nice to have a coach who knows a thing or two about coaching/game management.
Too bad he was never that good here -- plenty of games we never even got a shot off.

Was Larranaga the best end-game tactician ever? No. Quite many of the things he did at the end of games drove me bananas.
And yet, there were so many other games when we kicked opponents' asses and ran them right out of the building, it was a little easier to tolerate the times he didn't get it done.
Larranaga on his worst day is 1,000 times better than Hewitt.
Part of me is glad he's getting a chance to show his stuff on the big stage.
Yeah he wasnt worth 1.5 million. Closer to 2million is about right after the hell we have been through.
I know this is dated in 2013, but Jai Lewis made the list:

Jai Lewis — all 6 feet 7 inches, 275 lbs. of him — is partially responsible for one of the great Cinderella runs in NCAA history. His 20 points and 7 rebounds against UConn sent George Mason to the Final Four.
After that historic season, Lewis tried to go the Antonio Gates route and play NFL football as a tight end. He went undrafted, and now plays basketball in Japan.
Was technical for stepping on another player or for using a cell phone during the game?
...despite liking their long athletic body.

Good interview with Larranaga about upset of Florida.
