Welcome Jarred Reuter

His game seems very similar to Jalen's. Great bc the team can have that consistency in practice. We all saw how great Coach Paulsen was for Jalen's game after the virus tainted him.

Gotta love a big who has an old school post-up game and knows how to use his body to create space instead of trying to outjump everyone.

I think Reuter's game would nicely complement a high flyer like AJ playing the 4 and Goanar at the 3.

An A-10 front line with three 6-7 guys? Why yes, thank you very much.

Throw him into the mix with Temara, Relvao and Calixte at the 5 spot.

Competition should make everyone better and the staff has more than a year to figure out where everybody falls in the pecking order.

Not that this is at all comparable, but I'm pretty sure we were complaining about only having 6-7 recruits just a few years ago.

Jarred reminds me of Jai Lewis because he's not an explosive athlete but is strong and crafty and knows how to use his body to create space to get off his shot.

He also has a reliable post move in the jump hook that's mostly unblockable.

Can't wait to see how our staff uses him. Any guy good enough to play for Tony Bennett can be successful in the A-10.

Great great pick up!! His size and post moves will demand help defense which is gonna open up long range 3 bombs. Exactly what we need to keep moving in the right direction. Would have been nice to play him this year but I think he's gonna help accelerating the development of Revao, Temara and Calixte.

Hope we can sustain the success in 17-18 without Moore and Jenkins but watch out for 18-19!

I'm pretty excited. This kid looks the part. Muscular and kind of older. Someone who you would expect to see on a championship team. A lot of our players, despite their height, look very young and thin (aside from man-child Boyd).

You know there's something about that height....

Anyway this looks like a good pickup, with a year for the staff to help coach him up, he should be able to provide some depth in two years when the team should be primed for a run at the top of the league. Now if mason can only figure out a way to get Aaron Thompson...

F yes! Great pick-up! Definitely needed a guy who can bang hard down low and already has post moves and high scoring ability around the rim. Coach will do nothing but craft those post-up moves in to better moves!

Everything I've read about Jarred suggests he's a perfect fit for Dave: hard worker, serious, blue collar, not loud or flashy.

He's probably 2 inches too short to play the 5 effectively in the ACC, but that won't be a problem in the A-10. He's already strong and the redshirt year will only help with that.

Good post passer, high basketball IQ, can face up and hit shots out to 15 feet.

A guy who is better than his college stats indicate and a candidate to open some eyes at Mason. Only thing better would be if he was eligible immediately, but certainly worth the wait.

Paulsen tweeted "great day for the patriots" to me this is basically saying he knows we have a stacked team.

Also saw that Rhode Island offered him a scholarship out of high school. So indirectly Mason won the recruiting battle among 2 a-10 teams hahah

Can someone explain why I'm hearing so much of Kier, Boyd , and Newman being benched because all the sudden we are starting Mar, Wilson, and a 5? Won't happen this year or next.

Paulsen's next big move is to find a loophole that lets him play immediately

Reuter's game reminds me of Tyler Hansbrough. Solid pickup, works to earn all of his points in the paint. Hopefully he can learn to pick and pop during his developmental year. If we can get the production of a transfer like GW did with Tyler Cavanaugh the past few years, this will be a memorable transfer pickup.

Hopefully this pickup will make PVI's Thompson decide to chose Mason with the last scholarship.

It's probably been mentioned already, but how many years does he have left?

This looks like an awesome pick up and after the Hewitt years I couldn't be happier with the job DP is doing.

Pretty sure it has been speculation because nobody knows anything at this point.

Mar hasn't even graduated high school yet. It's just fun to think about all the different possibilities after going through last season with no size and a short bench.
