And Lo, it was written. "In the sixteenth year of the new millennium, a prophet shall come to pass and deliver unto us a team, devoid of turnovers, blessed by 4 er 3 star talent and we shall rejoice for the Promised Land stands before us"

According to Boyd's bio, he will be turning 20 in December. That's pretty old for a freshman who didn't prep or redshirt (Kier and Newman will be 19 next year), but it also explains why he looks so mature and jacked for a freshman. Dude is a man-child.
2nd consecutive year we have had a finalist for Mr. Basketball in his state in our recruiting class (Newman last year in Michigan). I can't recall us having any prior to that - Pablo, Jim, anyone know if we have in the recent past? Halloway as All-Met POY may be an analogous award.
Curtis McCants...Mr. Basketball Rhode Island..pretty sure of that.

I believe it is pronounced "Grow-nar"Does anyone know the proper pronunciation of his first name? Just feel like I'm saying it wrong in my head.
actually, he was not Mr Basketball for the entire state. NY is divided up in about 8-10 geographic "Sections" for purposes of the state tournaments in each sport. My HS is in Section IV and I am not sure if we ever crowned a 'Mr Basketball' for Section IV.I think Sherrod Wright was Mr. Basketball for the state of New York. Or maybe a finalist, I can't recall.
Edit: he was according to his bio: http://www.gomason.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2154
"Named Mr. Basketball in New York Section 1 by the Tri-County Basketball Coaches Association... Also named first-team All-State and All-Conference"

Still, a great honor for Sherrod.
