News Tracking Official Adidas / Other Gear

If you look at our players' Instagram pages, when they hang out with each other and their friends, they wear Nike shoes, not adidas.

For example, Danny Dixon, although not on the team anymore, wears Nike shoes to workout in. Marquise Moore wears Nike, Justin Kier wears Nike, Kam Murrell, although not on the team anymore, wears Nike shoes. You get the point.

They love wearing Nike/Jordan shoes and not adidas.

You must have been a communications major if you still can't grasp the business decision to have Adidas gear over Nike. Wow kids today love Nike, no shit. Has nothing to do with the Adidas deal.

Over the last few years Adidas has really upped their game. Their coaching/sideline apparel no longer looks like it was designed for NASCAR. I was very against Adidas when it was first announced, but I have been pleasantly surprised.

They've been all right in my book, too. They do seem to struggle sometimes understanding the American market with some of their designs, but overall Adidas makes comparable stuff to Nike.

I'm not an adidas fan, but I give them their due. They've come a long way in 5 years. They don't have the "cool" factor, but I'd rather be with Paulsen/adidas than Hewitt/Nike.

I'd still be interested to know what the Nike vs. UA vs. adidas offers were to us. I would guess Nike was very little, if anything at all. UA probably was decent. Adidas was probably the best. I'm surprised UA didn't make a bigger push, considering we're in their backyard.

I can tell you that Nike does nothing departmentally for a non P5 program like Mason was at the time they went on the street. It is primarily hoops and 2-for-one buys with an annual spending minimum. Adi and UA work to sell entire departmental commitments. Adi is getting more aggressive with their US collegiate leadership change.

Every one of those schools had a right to first refusal and to control their brand. IU did not sellout to the design incentive clause in the deal. ND did the same thing with UA regarding a right to first refusal in football, but not in hoops. From what I've seen at Mason, their uni's appear to be custom design outside of the incentive design line. Classic uni's. What you wear is what you agree to wear. No one makes you look like a clown unless you want to take the additional money to. Ask Maryland football.

They all look OK.... nothing really stands out to me except the Citadel shorts. Not my cup of tea though.

I actually kind of like the Texas A&M Jersey's but not the shorts. I personally think when the top third of the shorts are a different color, it looks like your underwear is hanging out.

Did we wear Coll Green or Dark Green last two years? I prefer just green . . . assuming kryptonite green isn't an option.

I prefer that the school just pick one damn color green (ie - the official school color) and stick to that, rather than having 7 different versions of green amongst the team, crowd, masonettes, chearleaders and EBA signage at any given game.

I did notice Walter, you have 4 different greens in your sig/avatar/name ;)

I have 3 in my avatar - my polo, wife's hoodie, floor paint - all different shades :super angry:

Adidas isn't the only one with a swing-and-miss on uniforms. UA and Nike have had their share of bad desig

Amen. Pick one green for all sports, fans, etc. I'd prefer to follow the A's color scheme:

Maybe I'm too critical, but The Citadel shorts are awful.

I'm not a fan of the TA&M jerseys. I've always thought the team logo on the back of the neck looked FPYCish.

I say the sharpest uni from head to toe is the Bucknell jersey on p.42. If there's a logo on the back of the neck that disqualifies it for me.

With that said, adidas has done a *great* job with some of their throwbacks.
