If you didn’t know, Bob McKillop was a high school coach before taking over at Davidson and he’s been there since 1989 (despite probably being able to leave for a bigger program several times), hence the joke.

2 star guys recruiting against Towson and ECU..... plenty of higher rated guys locally going elsewhere for college basketball... I like the kid from Episcopal but Oduro might be the 5th best player on PVI... Where are the top 4 going?!? (yes I know one of their best is a freshman)

Why does he deserve more time.

I am looking at new coaches this year and they all have done a much better job in less time.

High Major Rebuilds
Dan Hurley/Uconn- 9-4 including a win over Syracuse.
Jeff Capel/Pitt- former Duke Assistant. 10-3
Penny Hardaway/Memphis- fomer NBA player and High School coach.8-5
Tom Crean/UGA. 8-4
Kermit Davis/Ole Miss- 10-2

Mid Major Rebuilds
Craig Smith/ Utah State- 10-3
Mark Gottfried/ CSUN. much bigger rebuild then Mason. Gottfried replaces Theus who was 53-105 in 5 seasons. Theus went 6-24 in his last season. With all that said Gottfried is 6-9
Lorenzo Romar/ Pepperdine. Last season Pepperdine went 6-26 and havnt reached the tourny since 2002. so again big time rebuild. Despite the challenges Romar is 7-7.
Darren Devries/Drake- 11-2

Because he is 53-59. Yet again he is off to a terrible start.
I frankly don't care if DP does well in conference-play because the conference is crap this year.

Damn, glad I came in here, didn't know that. Worthen was one of my heroes when he was at Marquette and I was a little Jollay in Milwaukee.

I totally agree with that statement. Problem is he’s grabbing local talent that is below A10 standard in oduros case. I’ve seen the kid play live and he looks like a Kam Murrell type talent in a 6 foot 8 skinny body

Our pipeline to Paul VI was probably destroyed after what happened with Holloway, Oduro probably reopens it. Think about that.

We shall see who is a better talent evaluator. My guess is with Rueter being a senior and Calixte and AJ being juniors, Oduro will redshirt his freshman season and play behind those two his redshirt freshman year. He’ll have plenty of time to develop before he’ll have to play significant minutes.
