Will was definitely "the Man", especially his senior year. Virtually unstoppable one-on-one and could pass out of the double teams.

I do want Shevon to break Will's record. It means he probably becomes a monster next year and with a better coach, they are (fingers crossed) probably in contention for something good post season.

Will Thomas will always be one of my favorite players, but pound for pound the best rebounder I've ever seen at Mason was Kenny Sanders. What he was able to do on the boards despite being only 6-foot-5 was insane. In one CAAT game, he had like 18 rebounds. He and Will both had the heart and drive you need to be a great rebounder.

With a game-high 14 rebounds (9 offensive) in the loss to Rhode Island, Shevon currently has 312 rebounds. He needs 42 more rebounds this season to break Will Thomas' Mason record for rebounds in a season:

I have a lot of respect for this guy. But does anyone else feel like he plays scared sometimes? When he gets the ball alone under the basket I expect a thunder dunk that will make small children cry. But then the other team's point guard just fouls him or he misses a layup. WTF?

Not scared, just raw and still thinking too much sometimes instead of just reacting.

He just needs time to play and work on his game.

If he goes to a big man camp this summer and stays at Mason for his senior season, he is going to destroy our opponents' souls. Book it.

Prediction: Shevon eventually will be Mason's first NBA rotation player, and the last NBA player who was signed by Paul Hewitt.

Three key factors that could equal 15 or more wins for next season: passing into the post (shevon), passing out of dbl teams, and 3pt shooting.

If we get the ball to run thru Shevon, and he can find open man for set shots, we could be legit, at the least more fun to watch. Pat and Marko can hit set 3ptrs.

Its going to be exciting watching our boys play with clear minds for once.

So between Luke's freshman and sophomore seasons, and Shevon's junior and likely senior seasons, it's safe to say #14 has been the most successful number of the last 7 years (yes, I have too much free time and think about this stuff way too much.)
