Shevon Thompson Draft Stock

gmuEX

Preferred Walk-On
  • Nickel coin slot to use bathrooms & sign on light switch to please turn off when leaving
  • Auction off opportunity to call first and last play of each home game (couldn't be any worse than what we currently have)
  • More guarantee games on road to better established programs looking for easy win in exchange for payday......like Univ of Miami perhaps?
  • Jack up price of vcu tickets so all their fans in attendance have to pay more
  • Slash tires of vcu fans and get rebate from towing service and tire dealers

This thread got off topic quickly.

Tracking Shevon's stats is the main reason I watch games now. Wins or losses are irrelevant to me.

Having met Shevon several times, he is a wonderful young man who carries himself very humbly and politely. If you meet him, there is no way anyone wouldn't root for him. I am hoping to see him in the NBA one day. He's worked his butt off to get better and deserves every ounce of success.

Totally agree! Let's just hope he continues at Mason next year..

Mr. Elizabeth Turner's big 7'2" center isn't looking that good either. At least he didn't when UC Irvine played Kansas.

Wanted to bump this thread to show Shevon some love. Go to this link:

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/seasons/2016-leaders.html

And scroll all the way down to the rebounding rates block. Shevon is currently:

#9 nationally in offensive rebound percentage
#2 nationally in defensive rebound percentage
#2 nationally in total rebound percentage (he's the only guy in the top ten of both offensive and defensive percentage)

I don't care how tall he is, that's an incredible accomplishment for a guy who can't jump.

Oh, lookie there, Shevon Thompson is the greatest per-minute rebounder in NCAA history. Interesting.

Interesting note. Two of the top per-minute rebounders in college basketball history are in this year's NBA Draft.
