We who actually care, might as well choose another school that does cares and root for them.

I will got audit at online course so I can be official and watch and root for schools that care more about their program than whether we add another building for students who can't speak English.

Even though I've been a Mason season ticket holder for more than 2 decades, I would expect that it would be easier for me to do as you suggest than for Mason alums like you.

Not sure your point. They were unhappy with their coach and fired him and got a new one...and had to wait and see.

If we're being told "well..we dont have the money to make a change...lets let our premier sport suffer another year and then we'll see where we're at."

Then that means the University still doesnt care about sports and might as well cancel all the posrt they can to save money for other things..

I really have trouble believing we can't afford it. There's always money to be found, even if they have to hit up some of the top donors. My guess is the McKay family would pay that amount just to see him gone.

All anyone needs to do is hit up anyone in the Patriot Club or AD and ask questions. From what I've heard which includes folks who have talked to people in the PC and AD (and with untapped bonuses helping) there is no reason why there isn't money to get rid of Hewitt. All Edwards has to do is present a business plan to Cabrera, and that's that.

Other cost cuts/savings I heard we are considering:

• More games at the RAC. Overhead is much less.
• Only 1 t-shirt thrown for made 3-pointers
• One hot dog limit in the gold room when Vienna Inn sponsors.
• Reversible uniforms for the team
• Students who miss the layup in the deal or no deal timeout game have to pay Mason $25.00
• Doc Nix will do double duty and also coach our big men
• Mayimba has to now buy tickets to each game
• Inflatable head kept half limp to save electricity

Where else could we save some money?

• Nickel coin slot to use bathrooms & sign on light switch to please turn off when leaving
• Auction off opportunity to call first and last play of each home game (couldn't be any worse than what we currently have)
• More guarantee games on road to better established programs looking for easy win in exchange for payday......like Univ of Miami perhaps?
• Jack up price of vcu tickets so all their fans in attendance have to pay more
• Slash tires of vcu fans and get rebate from towing service and tire dealers
