Current standings:
1. vcu - 14- 2 (clinches 1st with one more win or Davidson loss)
2. Davidson - 12 - 4 (owns tiebreaker over vcu and us)
3. Dayton - 11 - 5 (we own tiebreaker/they have tiebreaker over Davidson)
4. Saint Bonaventure - 11-5 (we split, our head to head tiebreaker with win over Dayton is tenuous)
5. Duquesne - 10 - 6 (they own tiebreaker over us)
6. MASON - 10 - 6
7. St. Louis - 9 - 7

We can finish no higher than 3rd or lower than 7th. If we win out, then we likely only need 2 of Dayton, Duquesne, or SBU to lose one more game each to get back in top 4.

There is a guaranteed loss for Dayton or Duquesne, due to their head to head matchup. IF IF IF we can beat vcu and not poo the bed against GW, we would just need one more loss from SBU or the winner of the Dayton/Duquesne game. Win against vcu clinches head to head tiebreaker over SBU.

If we lose to vcu (or GW for that matter), we can not jump both Duquesne and SBU, without being jumped by SLU, since SLU plays both. With a loss to vcu (or GW for that matter), we need Dayton and SBU to lose both remaining games to still have a shot at top 4.

Lots of games remaining with top 7 teams against each other. Gonna be a crazy finish.

Remaining games:
vcu: @ MASON, Saint Joe's
Dayton: LaSalle, @ Duquesne
Davidson: SBU, @ Richmond
Mason: vcu, @ GW
SBU: @ Davidson, St. Louis
Duquesne: @ SLU, @ Dayton

Saint Louis: Duquesne, @ SBU

What we need from this week's games:

Tuesday: BEAT vcu

Wednesday: La Salle win @ Dayton, SBU lose @ Davidson, Duquesne lose @ SLU

Best case scenario - we jump to 3rd.

With loss to vcu, we can not jump both Duquesne and SBU, without being jumped by SLU, since SLU plays both.

We can still finish 4th, but need a lot of help: We need to beat GW, have Dayton and SBU lose both remaining games, and Duquesne win both games. This would put us in a 3 way tie with Dayton and SBU.

3 way tiebreaker is record amongst group, we are 2-1, SBU is 1-2, and Dayton is 1-1. We win group and get 4th spot (with Duquesne in 3rd), Dayton takes 5th and SBU takes 6th (due to head to head loss to Dayton).

Remaining games:
Dayton: LaSalle, @ Duquesne
Davidson: SBU, @ Richmond
Mason: @ GW
SBU: @ Davidson, St. Louis
Duquesne: @ SLU, @ Dayton

Saint Louis: Duquesne, @ SBU

I kind of want the 6 or 7 seed now that I believe we are eliminated from the 4th seed... means we wont have to see vcu at all till title game

I think St Louis win over Duquesene officaly took us out of the top 4 running.

Assuming Mason's beats GW, they will finish one game behind 4th place. The Duquesne game really stings.
