I think we have to basically win all our remaining games at this point to end up top 4...first is out of hand.

I think we have to basically win all our remaining games at this point to end up top 4...first is out of hand.

Whichever 9-5 team can go 3-1 in the final stretch will get the 4th seed.

Given the schedules, I actually think we’ll all end up 2-2 and 11-7 overall and the standings will be sorted out by tiebreakers, leaving us out of the top 4 because of our loss to Duquesne.

2. Davidson 11 - 3 (owns tiebreaker over vcu)
3. Dayton 11 - 4 (we own tiebreaker)
4. Duquesne 9 - 5 (they own tiebreaker over us)
4. MASON 9 - 5
4. Saint Bonaventure - 9-5 (we split, but have head to head tiebreaker with win over Dayton)
7. St. Louis 8 - 7

SLU @ vcu - never vcu... but SLU picking up a 7th loss won't hurt, unlikely we pass vcu at this point and we still have to play @ SLU, so odds are they will have tiebreaker over us.

Richmond @ MASON

Davidson @ LaSalle - Davidson's at large chances are gone and the way each team is playing, I'm not confident they can regain the lead over vcu, so let's hope for them to spiral and fall below us

Duquesne @ SBU - Great that one of them is guaranteed to lose, since we split with SBU and Duquesne has the tiebreaker over us, best that Duquesne loses. SBU won their first matchup at Duquesne 51-49, so could be an element of payback here.

Mason wins, Davidson loses and Dusquene loses tonight

If you look at Duquesne's schedule they are good for probably two more losses. I strongly believe that Mason can probably afford one more loss the rest of the way to get that top four position.

At least so far neither of us has beaten either team. If we beat vcu, we will own tiebreaker via vcu.

Currently we have tie breaker since SBU has not beaten any team ahead of us in standings, and we beat Dayton. SBU can change that with a win over Davidson AND Davidson passes Dayton in the standings. We can trump that with a win over vcu.

That loss may really hurt Dayton. Lunardi was being questioned about the brackets last night and Dayton was listed as one of the last 4 out. So they could ill afford to lose a home game against a bottom half A10 team.

With that loss by Dayton, if we can get a win at SLU tomorrow, it has the effect of erasing the richmond loss. Huge huge opportunity to gain some ground.
