He definitely did not hold back In his comments. He took accountability though.

Not good for him.

Its very good imo. He called everyone out including himself. And he stated the freedom on offense is going away. I think giving freedom on offense helps with recruiting, but it can cost you games. Dean Smith (the greatest of all time) always had his teams in something offensively. I like some freedom but getting the ball where it needs to go is hard with young players. Freedom of offense obviously works vs cupcakes, but league play is no joke.

Thats a really good point. I was more saying the loss is just bad for him, but at the same rate if a loss like this causes reflection enough that he's like "okay enough with xyz (offensive freedom in this example)" then he knows what isn't working.

Knowing what isn't working / is what working is step 1, now its a matter of fixing and adjusting it. Like you said, the Big East is a whole different animal in terms of coaching and quality of talent.

In conference play, regardless of conference, it seems there is more studying/knowledge/awareness of league foes.

Make no mistake, I got slight relief from the Umass debacle watching Friars get curb stomped.

ERRRRRNNNNTTTT!!

It's easy to win when you instruct your point guard to hold the ball and dribble in place for the last five minutes of the game while holding a four-point lead.
Must be a sour grapes dook fan. I feel for you.
