I guarantee you've never seen him play, Kenner or otherwise. Stop talking out of your a**.
Sorry, those topics will return on a date TBD. It's a tradition on these boards!Hey at least we're past the "are we going to get football? what about a new public address announcer" stage
Just imagine, if we BEAT Auburn and LOSE to CSUN!
I saw him guard Will Thomas. He didn't fair too well in that match up but hell it was WILL THOMAS!And you've never seen him play Division I trying to guard 6'9" 230 lb forwards. He's a tweener who needs to develop.
Is Will Thomas still in his prime? he has to be at least 30 by now.. just playing devils advocate hereI saw him guard Will Thomas. He didn't fair too well in that match up but hell it was WILL THOMAS!

UMASS and St Louis about itWhat A-10 team has a 6-9, 230-pound power forward? Most schools in our league don't even have a center that size.
Safe to say, if there is one, he's going to be a problem for everyone, not just AJ.

I think AJ is up for the task, but I think most people and myself included are just saying temper your expectations he is only a freshman. We will most likely try to find ways to deny the post entry pass all season.
But let's keep in mind that last season we had guys 6'4, 6'4 and 6'3 guarding the 4 and they were freshmen and sophomores. So I'm not really sure why everyone is so concerned about A.J. not being up to the task.

But the nice thing is, he is a 20 year old freshman. He re-classed in high school, and redshirted another year. So yes a freshman, but not a typical freshman

I would say its safe to expect him to put up similar numbers to Jenkins first year. Average 6 rebounds, and 8 points a game. Perhaps he has the ability to score more with his 3pt shot. It will be interesting.
Lol Lol I wanted to make an additional comment. hahahAre you actually talking to yourself here?

Agreed. A lack of physical and mental maturation is the real difference maker between freshman and sophomore performance. Sure, he doesn't have that in-game experience against D-1 opponents, and hasn't experience the full grind of a season, but I don't think he'll struggle in many of the ways true freshman often do.The fact that he will be 20 at the start of the season and that he also red-shirted his first season (meaning he has practiced with the team and been in the weight and conditioning program for an entire year) should not be overlooked.
