Predict the Next Coach Pool

I want to say Chris Caputo and think it could be a good hire for the long term, but given our current level of talent this team is in need of a proven HC who can turn it around instantly I think that guy could be Ben Howland. Not sure if I would have arrived at that without the forum/jim speculation, but I am at least somewhat enamored with the idea.

It's really unbelievable to me how much talent is on this team and how little it accomplished... I think a coach with any sort of direction/structure and a system to actually buy into could make this team a winner next year. Howland has system/direction/structure... kids would buy into him and his system, would look at his resume and be motivated instantly.

I just hope somebody is checking all these names on youtube to make sure we don't have any videos like this one:

The Paul Hewitt Can't Coach
Why is this the first time I've ever seen this.
How come you can replace GT with GMas and it still makes perfect sense. The timeouts. The noncoaching. Hand waving. The lost fanbase.

"Why are there no timeouts left for the Paul Hewitt.
He has used them all up to inbound the ball."

The 3 head coaches hired here by Brad Edwards have come from power conferences:

Women's Lacrosse: Jesse Morgan, assistant at UVA
Women's Volleyball- Jackie Simpson, assistant at Iowa
Women's Soccer - Todd Bramble, head coach at Alabama

Will he continue this trend when he hires the men's basketball coach?

Amaker would be great, but not sure he would leave Harvard for the A10.

I think we've had this discussion 4 years ago. Last that I looked, Amaker's wife has a faculty position at Harvard Medical School. Hard to walk away from that, I would think.

I work at a former NEC school and have seen RMU play several times and Tooles teams are always well-coached and play solid, fundamental defense. Seems to get the most out of his teams.

Fred Hoiberg, who will hopefully be available now after his team just shit the bed against against #14 UAB.

Those bastards just destroyed my bracket in my office pool. Played like their coach was Hewitt, not Hoiberg.

You and me both, my friend. I had Iowa State going to the Final 4 in one pool and the Elite 8 in my other two. F-ck! :bricks:
