Everyone thought I was annoying when I said Hewitt wasn't the answer. One day you will realize I was right about Edwards and Paulsen.

The leadership hired a president with no experience running a real university. He ran a online college lol. And then we hired an AD with a football background even though Mason doesn't even have a football team. If GMU planed on funding football, then Edwards seemed like a good fit. But all indications point to that we don't want football. So what the heck was Mason thinking!

As you all know, Edwards was the AD at Jacksonville University. Jacksonville University basketball program is nothing to brag about. So being that George Mason's bread and butter is basketball; why would we hire an athletic director with very little success in basketball. Mason is just a joke!

Say all you want about the minor achievements. But George Mason Athletics is underachieving big time. There is no excuse for the largest VA state university to be average. We should have the same brand recognition Tech and UVA have.
But we have a president with no real experience running the show. And a athletic director who was a great player but cant cut it in the front office.

his NLI is signed, and unless Paulsen walks (lets face it hes not getting fired at this juncture), I think things should be okay. Players usually commit to a coach.

But anything could happen. Lets just hope he sticks and feels he can be part of the solution.

I mean, its easy to over analyze one game as fans. No shame in that.

I still expect improvement this year, or at least glimpses of the right direction. If they lose, at least its competitive and I can identify some potential.

True, still a little concerned with the system but it is what it is I guess. I just don't know how you play traditional, conservative basketball with no big man, a four guard lineup, and no attempt to create turnovers. Our system and our personnel are diametrically opposed.

It seems like other A10 schools are down from where they were last year. LaSalle just lost to some school called Texas Southern.

Some school called G Mas has the exact same amount of NCAA Appearances as some school called Texas Southern. G Mas does have 2 more post-season NIT appearances.

Yea who cares about tradition and history, we should have their same brand recognition because we built a lot on our campus and have many dorms!
