My initial reaction was the same as your guys' reaction... Who cares what anyone thinks outside of Edwards or Cabrera? The old way of thinking has us as a bottom feeder. Best man for the job, period. And if that man is Turner, I would need to hear a lot of tangible examples of why he is not a "good fit".

I just think he has his eyes on a football school long-term for obvious reasons. However, I couldn't give a damn right now as long as he gets this hire right. He knows the importance of it and that's all that matters to me.

I too am in the boat that Edwards has his eyes on a BCS Football school.

That said, in order to get there, I would have to think he has to get a lot accomplished and improved at Mason to make himself marketable for that type of position. I don't need to beat the horse on what, but he certainly has to change a few things for the better to be considered for that type of position.

On that note, Turner sounds like a great hire and I am very excited for the new era to begin!
