Watch the video. Says we are down to 4 candidates. Rothstein says Steve Prohm and UNC-CENTRAL's LeVelle Moten are 2 of the 4.

Moten is rumored to be the front running for the Charlotte job....

Prohm would be a great hire. I never thought we had a chance with him. I always thought he was headed to Alabama.

Prohm would be coup...The guy went to Alabama. It would say a TON about what people think can be accomplished at Mason. A guy turning down a BCS school which happens to be his alma mater....Huge.

I am excited about both those guys. Prohm would be a win-the-press-conference hire. Moton is a bit more of a risk but his upside is huge. He clearly knows PR and it would appear is a good coach.

It's awfully bold of Prohm if he is interviewed yesterday or today when his team is in Tulsa for their 2nd round NIT game.

It sort of reminds me of when Wood Selig did a Skype interview with Andy Enfield while his team at FGCU was still playing games.

Prohm would be an absolute grand slam "holy crap Brad is serious" hire.

Moton would be a great hire as well. For those who dont' know anything about him, I watched NC Central play Miami last week and his team was very disciplined on defense. They ran a lot of zone traps and Miami had all sorts of trouble.

On offense, they ran a motion offense and had shooters.

Just very well disciplined basketball from what I saw.

How about Russell Turner from UC Irvine? Originally a Virginia guy and Hampden-Sydney grad. Was Duncan's big man coach at Wake, was assistant to Montgomery during the Stanford Final Four runs, assisted Montgomery and Don Nelson with the Warriors and has turned that Irvine program around. Would be a great one to lure back east.
