Pardon my rant, but this is just another example of how the ugly breakup with El Cubano has killed this program, compounded of course by the hiring of Hewitt. Look how many solid programs survive the departures of their heralded coaches (Butler, vcu, Gonzaga, etc.) because they've built a coaching tree and/or established a style of play they don't deviate from. We did not do that in any way, and now four years removed from relevancy we need to be reliant on striking gold a second time instead of just continuing to build an established program. F*ck Larranaga, Merten, O'Connor, Shaka and everyone else who deserves some of the blame.
