I will admit I can't root for L's squads even though I place the blame on TOC for his departure. To quote Pikapp, I am apparently a "bitter f**k."

It's gotta be like the presidency though - there has gotta be someone beside a Bush or a Clinton that can lead GMU to the promise land. Somebody without the name Larranaga can right the ship. Right? RIGHT?

ACC job offers aren't an annual occurrence - when L saw the opportunity, and had the willingness finally, he had to take it then.

I agree on the timing though, just one more year of Pearson, Morrison, Hancock, Wright, Allen, Cornelius, and Vaughns would have been something special.

Both Larranaga's predecessors made the NCAA at the same clip L does.

It's interesting he has had the same level of success in the ACC as he has in the CAA when it comes to postseason appearances.

If he can get his team into the Dance next year, he'll be fine. Miami just wants a semi-competent basketball program to keep their students occupied after football season is over.
