http://gomason.com/news/2017/1/23/mens-basketball-moore-earns-third-a-10-weekly-honor.aspx:

"FAIRFAX, Va. - For the third time this season, George Mason University men's basketball guard Marquise Moore has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week.

The Queens, N.Y., product shares the honor this week with Javonte Hawkins of Fordham. Moore - the first player to be named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week in program history - has now garnered the accolade in three of the past seven weeks. Moore and T.J. Cline (Richmond) are the only two players in the conference to win the award three times this season.

Moore posted game highs in points (25), rebounds (13) and blocks (3) while tallying two assists and two steals in Mason's 82-77 win at Richmond Sunday. The 6-foot-2-inch senior also made 9-of-16 field goal attempts and 7-of-10 free throws. The 25 points tied his career high and helped the Queens, N.Y., product post his A-10 leading 12th double-double of the season."

Well, the good news in my experience is that stomach virus, as miserable as it is, usually is gone in 24-48 hrs. That said, it couldn't have been fun traveling cross country feeling poorly.

I had to drive back from L.A. to Phoenix one year having developed a stomach virus right after checking out of my hotel....I left a vomit trail along large stretches of the desert. Throwing up in the middle of the double drive thru of the McDonalds in Blythe during lunch rush was a highlight.

What were you doing in a drive thru at McDonalds with the stomach virus?!! There's no food that even looks good to me until after I recover. Then it's clear chicken broth and gatorade for a day.

I have trouble just walking to the bathroom to puke (and/or unleash on the pot) when I have a stomach virus. I have no clue how someone can play division 1 basketball in that condition.

Not to eat. I'll tell you that.

I think I also have to mention that I had a big Mexican breakfast before leaving LA with chorizo and cotija cheese -- and chorizo and chorizo and hot sauce and chorizo.

Coach Dave said during a post-game session a few weeks back that viruses causing "unmentionable" problems with the players were working their way through the team.

As a team, if you sweat together, bleed, and cry together then you certainly plftdstgffphhlgrgt-klptophthdtth together!:vomit:

To play 24 minutes and have the stats he had considering he had this insidious virus (it's made it's rounds here in my office) tells me a lot about the type of person/teammate Marquise is! Well done #22!!

(Edit: This is probably the second worst virus he's had during his time at Mason...)

Your right, I saw the game, I saw him try to fight, I saw him sometimes to weak to clap for his teammates, to keep his head up. Heard he spent a lot of time in the back vomiting, imagine. The last thing you want to do is throw up in front of millions of viewers, but he said he could play, would play as long as he could be effective. The determination he has as a player and teammate are to be applauded. Good Luck the rest of the season Marquise, keep working, best of health to you.
