I think DP just bought himself some more breathing room.

Hard to argue the excess of talent on the roster now. I can still see a decent starting five that can be A-10 competitive w/the right coaching and schemes, but depth is lousy no matter how you look at it.

If by "last time" you're referring to the Hewitt era, it didn't take til year 3.

In fact, it was pretty obvious we were headed in the wrong direction by game 3 of his first season ... most of us just didn't want to admit it.

Sadly, that's not much of a stretch.

I think it was either the FIU or FAU game when my gut started telling me that Hewitt's hiring had been a huge mistake. Couldn't believe he insisted on pressing and running with a team built to do neither.

Even if we don't win a game next season, I guarantee DP will have our guys playing hard, fundamentally sound and disciplined basketball. That will have to be enough until he has a chance to get some players.

It was supposed to be UNLIKE last time....since H was given a good team and situation, but I type too fast sometimes.

Paulsen has a complete rebuild from the H debacle...so he actually gets some leeway.....
