Paulsen doesn't play games. This has nothing to do with the former regime. Not only was our best player Thompson inherited, but so too were Marko, Jenkins, Moore and Royal. He'd suspend any player who screwed up in the classroom.

That said, this is obviously good news for the incoming freshmen Paulsen did recruit. We're going to suck anyway, so we might as well throw the young bucks into the fire and get them some experience.

I appreciate Coach Paulsen's high standards and the imposing of a 6-game suspension. Although, I'm surprised by Tweeder's comment that Holloway was very close to being dismissed from the team.

I generally try not to put our players on blast -- mostly because God knows I did some F'ed up stuff when I was their age -- but it's really disappointing to have another senior pulling this stuff.

It's one thing if it's a freshman who screws up and needs some consequences. It's something else when you have a guy who's old enough to know better, but instead of acting like a leader on a team with a bunch of young players, he jacks around and gets suspended.

Frankly, I'm glad DP hammered him. Selfish and irresponsible is no way to go through life.

Never was a huge Holloway fan, he's a sloppy, selfish player. I think Murrell could really shine with this opportunity for more minutes.

6 games sounds severe for skipping class, but if you think about it how can you justify taking him out of school for the long weekend in charleston & trips to georgia & ny when the whole problem is missing class? the only home game he's missing is this friday.

It's more than that, rumor has it the veterans skip classes, don't show up on time for meetings, etc

Coach Paulsen has handled it and the punishment was both severe and public. It is very disappointing that a Senior is pulling this, but it's being taken care of.

If you're coming here now and calling out players by name as sloppy & selfish and your evidence is "rumor has it" then maybe you should just step away from the computer a minute and reevaluate.
