Thanks for clarifying I knew landing Harris was a dream as I stated above but I really thought we had a legitimate shot at the 2 PVI guards that are getting recruited by Duke, UNC, and Kentucky.

Anthony Harris or any of the PG's from PVI could be program changing guys and something we desperately need. DP and staff should make it their priority to go after these local stars especially someone like him. If he were to go to Duke or Kentucky, he may get 10 minutes of PT next season. Larranaga was able to recruit some local talent by selling two things; playing close to home and getting PT from day one.

DP was one of the first to go after Wahab and we didn't even finish in his top 15... Harris we actually did finish in his top 15... and these PGs are already bigger than what we currently offer

I am not saying they were at the same level as Anthony Harris or Jeremy Roach but we were able to get some good local talent. Folarin Campbell, Will Thomas, Cam Long, Jonathan Arledge, Lamar Butler, Isaiah Tate, etc all were recruited by power 5 conference teams but chose Mason over them. I can't speak for all of them but I can tell you with 100% certainty that Folarin and Will chose Mason because it was close to home and they were going to get immediate playing time. All I am saying is we should not shy away from going after these kids just because they are "NBA caliber players"

The great Aristotle once said, "If internet explorer is brave enough to ask to be your default browser, then you are brave enough to ask that girl out."

The same proverb should be applied to recruiting. Just because we're not at the P5 level doesn't mean we can't get a P5 caliber player. We gotta put ourselves out there and try. It's like online dating... swipe right for every hot bitch ya can in hopes that one might swipe right back at ya. The more you go after, the better the odds.

With that said, I've seen our staff go for P5 level players... I just want to see more of it.
