I have African heritage, and am a US citizen. That makes me African-American, right? So, I am told that African-American is the new term for black. Does that make me black?

The acting was fairly good. Overall, the movie misses as good social commentary and as a satisfying movie. Bottom line, frats shouldn't have black face parties. But I think we all knew that already.

So, I am hearing some rumors from my sources. It appears that Mason has renegotiated Hewitt's buyout. He keeps the longevity bonus, but, We only have to pay him $125k next year.





In return, Hewitt coaches Mason for the next five years at $125k a year, earning a longevity bonus of $650k every November 1st. Sweet!

I'm not so sure that's the best analogy. Is anyone really going to buy the line that, "I could have stayed and they wanted to keep me. Just felt I needed to spend more time with my family."

All the world knows he's getting canned and deservedly so.

Devil's Advocate: If you're getting $700,000 why would you care what headlines say for a week when people outside of Fairfax don't care that much?

No offense, but anybody here who says they would walk away from $700,000 is either lying or dumb. Hewitt has been downright terrible, but it's our former administration's fault for hiring him and guaranteeing all five years of the contract.

That said, I still think it can't hurt to negotiate with Hewitt on a buyout. See if he'll take his $85,000 bonus on March 1 and a portion of next year's contract to step down after we lose in the A10 tourney. I don't fault him at all for telling us to f-ck off, but it's worth a shot.
