They should offer a hospitality/beer garden area for non-season ticket holders as well. Unless they do - admittedly haven't been to a game this season.

They have what they have because of space constraints. Plus the Gold Room is crowded as it is on many game days because its not that large. Many people go to Brion's/Oh George across the street.

Gold Room is a steal - meal before every game and unlimited beer, wine, soda before game and at halftime for only a $400 donation. Yes, it does require a season ticket for each pass, but if you calculate what you spend at Brion's, I think you'll still come out on top with the Gold Room and part of the donation is tax deductible.

Yea, that's legit. I'd be on board if I lived in the area.

The old dude next to me is a fairly quiet fan. He does, however, do the Chil.fil.a chant and the 'we want wings' business with all sorts of happy enthusiasm.

At American last night, their PA guy during intros: "....stand and greet your AU Eagles!" and all 600+ fans stood up.

Yeah when you break it down, if you do the minimum donation it is like $40-45 per game for open bar, dinner, and seats. I've spent a lot more than $40-45 in Clarendon without having nearly as much fun.

Another survey hit my inbox, so I suspect all season ticket holders got one...make sure to let them hear some of the good ideas posted on here!

What are some of the big ones? Would be happy to incorporate others ideas into my response. I really only feel strongly about sacrificing the Green Machines singers to appease the basketball gods.

Have the PA announcer instruct the fans to "stand and greet your George Mason Paaaaatriots!" during intros.

Idea: Crowd involvement. Things we can chant. During timeouts we just look to the Green Machine for entertainment. And singing a few words from the fight song nobody cares about, having 6 people in the arena nodding their head during Rage, and going "Oh, oh!" during Living on a Prayer every few games doesn't count.

How about having the players stay on the court after each game and sing "Patriot Dreams" with the Green Machine, students and alumni? It would foster a stronger sense of pride and tradition!

Yeah, something that connects the players and fans. If anybody went to the UPenn game and stayed after the game ended, the entire team, cheerleaders, coaches and fans did their fight song and weird arm thing together, even after a blowout loss.
