GIVING DAY 2023
I've had instances where either they don't know the season ticket holder discounts or the charge never shows up on my account after they swipe it 3 times until like a week after. Last night I got my food early before tipoff and they somehow got 36.50 for the tenders and fries at first.

Season ticket holder discounts? I think I missed a memo.

I wish we got some sort of swag for perfect/good attendance as season ticket holders. We've missed 1 game in 4 years.

TBH, I'd rather have a PA announcer who you never remember. PA announcers who try to be the center of attention drive me bonkers. Just shut up, announce the substitutions, and collect your check.

The PA announcer isn't a play by play guy, and he's not an analyst, and I hate when they think they are.

I'd like a PA just not to sound like they are going through the motions.

This happened to me twice this season. Got charged multiple times for a pretzel and a drink. Pretty easy fix though, I just emailed EBA and they forwarded it to management, the same day i had an email back saying they found the double charge and it was refunded to my account. Im wondering if its the registers or the boobs running the register's

That was the next thing I was going to bring up...ensure that the cashiers at least have a rudimentary knowledge of what they sell at that stand. The guy just looked stunned when I inquired about nachos and 10 minutes later I had a "manager" mumbling from the other end of the aisle that I would have to go to the next stand.

Hmm, this does seem like a common problem. Can't wait to get my statement. I normally use cash but have used my credit card the past few games.

They did this for a few years. I got a customized "superfan" Tervis tumbler in 2010 for perfect attendance. They seem to have gotten away from the attendance incentives.

Not Eagle Bank Arena related, but POS craziness related, last year I took my daughter to get Santa photos and when I paid for the package, the person charging my card's face went blank and she whispered we need to get a manager out here right now. The manager came out and literally said, "what the f---" and got on the phone right away.

What was the problem? The receipt had a charge of $16,199.99 on it.

So, the manager was on the phone, and I was on the phone with my bank. That was a fun afternoon.

After having my card skimmed at the NCAA tournament (!!!), I always use cash at arenas if possible.

Hey now. There are many boobs behind cash registers that should not be disparaged! :oface:

Could it be that the concessionaires have negotiated the agreement that no food or drink from Green & Gold room can be brought into the rest of the arena? That way their business is protected. Bringing in a Chick-Fil-A into the Green/Gold rooms doesn't cost the caterers for those rooms a dime. Also I was under the impression that the Green room only provides drinks at halftime, no food.
OK, OK... Just when I was getting over my foiled attempt to take my half sandwich out of the Gold Room last week, I noticed yesterday three Gold Room patrons leaving the Gold Room with a cup of soda in their hands! The attendants watched them leave each time, saying nothing! Not even flinching or raising an eyebrow.

Soft drinks are the highest margin items for concessions. You'd think that sodas taken from the Gold Room would be more of a Bozo-no-no than taking out a crummy half-sandwich! I'm just being selectively persecuted! A victim of cheap-skate-profiling! Who am I not paying off!! :bigwhiner:

Soda has never been an issue to take out of the gold room.

YES! EXACTLY!!

One can walk out of the Gold Room with a soda but not a half-sandwich? One can bring food into the Gold Room but can't take food out? What kind of Orwellian doctrine is this?!?

All I wanted to do was watch the tip-off and finish eating my half-damn-sammich!!

Not me. I want a PA guy to be forgettable. I blame the "DEE-troit BASKET-ball" guy for making all these PA guys think we're here to listen to them.

Well not to that level. Somewhere in the middle between Flavor Flav and the teacher from Ferris Beuller.

Sound
No more Apple Credit Union games (tic tac toe etc)

Has anybody ever NOT won that? I mean, we've been doing it for what, 3 years now? I haven't seen once somebody miss it. I think every one is a winner, no matter what they choose.

-I like the "I Believe we will win" chant... when Utah State does it. Not us. I don't want to copy another school. It makes us look pathetic.

True, but I would have no objection to Enter Sandman. We play the beginning going in to the second half, people get hyped for it and start singing it, then the band plays the fight song and just kills the mood. I don't care if VT uses it or if Brock Lesnar uses it for his entrance music in UFC, if it works for us lets use it. It's not like we're singing "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" or "Country Roads Take Me Home" like West Virginia.

Correction: TSG reminded me that when we moved to the A10, the young volunteer ball boys/girls, like him, were dismissed.

Does anyone remember the twins who used to mop up the sweat during games? They are in college now and are tall as hell! Ran into them on the concourse this season, super nice kids.
