Great effort today. On to the next game, Richmond beat them up today so they'll be coming in angry.

Grayer plays much better with Holloway not playing so just let it be.

When Livingston and Moore start getting hot off each other - this is a fun team to watch and Shevon is the anchor in the post - add Greaer into the mix and it is a full blown orgy of baskets.

Anyone know why Halloway is riding the pine tonight?

Just reading tea leaves, gotta be defense or lack thereof.

Paulsen was very enthusiastic about Murrell's effort on defense during today's game.

He's stronger and more physical than Pat and he tries harder on defense. As long as that is the case, I think Murrell will keep getting fourth guard minutes behind Livingston, Moore and Grayer.

It's a tough situation for Pat -- if he had more than one year of eligibility I'm pretty sure he would've transferred somewhere he could be the man -- but he's not at all a good fit for what Paulsen is trying to get done.

Nice win. Sorry I missed it.

Is it fair to say as Grayer goes so goes the team?

Well Livingston was lighting it up - the kid went to the post multiple times - while getting hit and making the shot in traffic. He is one tough son of a bitch and can ball. Him, Grayer, and Moore were feeding off of Shevon.

I still can't get over the fact that Livingston scored on a 1 on 3 break against 3 guys taller than him.

Are we watching likely 4-year starters for the Patriots?

Otis Livingston II during George Mason's 63-44 win over Penn. One of the bright stars emerging for the #Patriots

Can I surmise that if you want to play, then you better practice well during the Coach Paulsen era?

Takeaways from Paulsen ... Mason had its best practice of the year yesterday, so that translated. Also, coach's decision on Holloway's DNP.

Want to play at a high level? Be willing to practice at a high level.

Like Mason, Penn is largely young and clearly still figuring things out under a really good first-year coach.

Pablo - That's a pretty good assumption.

DP has said that Muscala was the hardest worker in practice when he played at Bucknell.

When your best player is also the hardest working player in practice, typically good things happen for a team...

I feel bad for Pat. I don't know if this is the case, but he's the perfect person to make an example of. Any smart coach realizes that their players development is more important for the long term stability of their career than working on their predecessor's players. Setting an example and getting your players valuable PT is almost a win/win.
