The discounted price being offered for season and partial season ticket holders is $18. Why would anyone be paying more than the $20 face value?
Someone alluded to being able to upgrade their season tickets at a higher cost. Maybe I misinterpreted that. Are the best seats in the place really only gonna be $20? Not a great game but seems like one price for all seats is weird.

EDIT: Nvm, looks like all one price. Interesting.

I'm a bad fan. If I were in the area, I'd probably hold onto my twenty dollar bill and hope for a second round match up against either Hampton or CCU.

Just purchased the season tix for the game...why is the Ticketmaster site so buggy? Got a timeout error message at the same time I got an e-mail 'invoice completed' confirmation.

" The College Basketball Invitational, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, in an effort to assist the NCAA in its research in exploring the implementation of four 10-minute quarters rather than two 20-minute halves and increased scoring options, will utilize recent experimental playing rules adopted by the 2017 NIT, including resetting team fouls to zero at the end of 10-minute segments of each half and resetting the shot clock to 20 seconds instead of 30 seconds at times when the ball is inbounded in the front court."

"In the experimental rule regarding resetting the team fouls, the one-and-one free throw bonus will not occur. Instead, teams will shoot two free throws in the following examples:

• Each team is limited to a team total of four personal and technical fouls (excluding administrative technical fouls) during each 10-minute segment of each half.

• The first 10-minute segment of each half will begin when the ball becomes live to begin the half and will end when the game clock reads 10:00. The second segment will begin when the game clock reads 9:59 and ends when the half ends.

• When a team has reached the four-foul limitation, all subsequent personal and technical fouls (excluding administrative technical fouls) will be penalized by two free throw attempts.

• Each team’s foul total will reset to zero when any 10-minute segment has ended.

• The rules regarding penalties for fouls in the act of shooting, flagrant fouls or technical fouls will not be affected by this experimental rule and will always result in two free throws unless the rules specifically say otherwise.

• In any overtime period, when a team has reached a total of three personal and technical fouls (excluding administrative technical fouls), all subsequent personal and technical fouls will be penalized by two free throw attempts.

In the other experimental rule, the shot clock will remain the same as when play was interrupted or reset to 20 seconds, whichever is greater, at any time any of the following occurs:

• A personal foul by the defense, which results in no free throws, and the ball is inbounded in the front court.

• Any technical foul assessed against the defense, and the ball is inbounded in the front court.

• The game is stopped for a bleeding player or blood on a uniform and the ball is inbounded in the front court."

"George Mason vs Loyola (MD), 7PM

The Patriots will look to recapture the magic of their last CBI appearance in 2013, when Mason reached the finals, losing in Game 3. The journey back to the finals will begin with Loyola (MD) out of the Patriot League, who posted a 15-16 (8-10 Patriot League) record. A-10 fans may remember the Greyhounds from Duquesne’s season opener, when the Dukes needed two free throws in the waning seconds to secure the 65-60 victory. Andre Walker and Jarred Jones each posted 21 points for the Greyhounds. Loyola’s two best wins are over Mount St. Mary’s and Bucknell, both of which qualified for the NCAA Tournament. In their most recent game, the Greyhounds dropped a four-point decision in the 7/10 play-in game in the Patriot League Tournament."

I wonder how many people would come Wed night if we didn't charge anything for a ticket. Would we break 2k?

I love how people complain about paying $18-$20 to host a post-season game and a chance to see more basketball and get our team more experience. Simple.....Don't go if you don't want to pay the price.

Back to basketball.....

Would love to see Marquise and Jalen both go off and score 20 plus points each. Would like to see Temara get 15 plus minutes.

Hear Hear! Stay at home if you dont care.

I hope these kids grasp this chance and put a boot on everyone's neck and end these games pretty quick. I know nada about these teams other than GW, so I wouldn't expect a problem in getting to the finals based on name recognition.

So these rules will be in place tomorrow night? I hope they advertise this a little more so folks will know what the hell is going on.

Let me know and I'll clue my Green Machiners in..??

Wager at your own risk on these tourney games (CIT and NIT included). You never know who will be fully motivated or not. These are kids, and like us fans, some will be more inclined to see the benefits of these games while others will not.

The experimental rules are odd. More than 4 fouls per quarter resulting in 2 free throws may make for a slower game.

Let's hope they foul Otis early and often.
