Next should be less tough than this year as we will have more seasoned underclass men and a second year under DPs tutelage.

As long as our fifth starter can rebound and play defense, it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

Paulsen may also start Abram until one of the forwards shows they can handle starter minutes.

3-1 against teams from Richmond. Our great commonwealth really deserves better than Richmond as it's capitol. I propose Charlottesville.

I propose Fairfax. Fairfax is the center of Northern Virginia. And Northern Virginia is the most influential part of the state.

Well... looks like the numbers are in and Mason is tied for second-to-last. Exactly what was prognosticated. We didn't underachieve, we didn't overachieve. Mason did what was expected — except, we beat vcu! Never expected that. But it made this season that much more sweet than bitter.

I don't think anyone expected us to sweep Richmond. I think we thought St. Louis would be the sweep.

I know individual awards shouldn't matter, but the color guy on MASN picked Chartouny from Fordham as his ROY.

I'm gonna be pissed if it's not Otis.

Chartouny has had a good season, but he compiled some of his stats against one of the weakest OOC schedules in the country.

He's also had the luxury of Fordham playing in the A-10's weakest schedule pod, with 2 games apiece against LaSalle and UMass.

Otis leads all A-10 freshmen in scoring and minutes played. He's also second in assists, which is remarkable considering that we shoot so poorly; he rarely gets any cheap assists by simply feeding a jump shooter.

Unlike Chartouny, Otis has also had the burden of being one of our primary scorers. When he struggles, we almost always lose.

Unfortunately, these awards almost always come down to stats. I doubt the voters will look too deeply beyond the raw numbers.

Well... looks like the numbers are in and Mason is tied for second-to-last. .......

So that means a first round match with St. Louis, right? Winner gets #5--a GW team that pretty much needs to win the A10 tournament to get a bid.

Not many.

But thought of it another way, if you knew Otis was going to go 5-5 from three and Marko was going to go for 15 and 9, and we were going to outrebound them by almost 30...

I was wondering about the blimp -- we watched two dudes try and snag it with a couple of helium balloons after the game. It was no where near any of the cat walks. Wonder how they got it down?!

They must have something that they use to get to the lights when they need changing. It's either that or shooting a hole in the blimp and hope that it falls down!

Next year is going to be interesting. We really need Dixon to put on some muscle and gain some intensity. I know their seasons at Mason weren't the best, but we're really gonna miss Thompson and Marko. Their size saved us a few games this season. Congrats to them for always playing hard.

Isn't Thompson top 10 nationally in both rebounding and offensive rebounding percentage? He had a couple of rough games, but he has been a beast on the glass most of the season for us.

Jalen has shown some of the court vision that Marko has and the physicality that Thompson has. Hopefully he can put it all together his senior season and be an anchor down low.
