I wasn’t there, but heard that Grayer’s dad was pissed about the way Jaire was being used and let both DP and Edwards hear about it during the Florida tournament. Loudly.

It’s too bad because by all accounts Jaire is an exceptional young man. I wish this year had gone differently for him.
@MASONscott @tblack33 and the rest of us us who went to Florida tourney. Did any of you hear this or is Jim just talking out of his a** again? I swear Jaires dad was sitting across the court from the bench both games.... jaire and Aj get made examples of far too often so I understand a parents frustration but the gym was completely empty in Florida and I didn’t hear a peep personally

Didn't hear anything of the sort while we were in Florida. I may have yelled it myself in a drunken rant and I have been known to claim Jaire as my son, but I never heard anything like that.

Jaire is probably the most mismanaged player I have seen in awhile. He's a spot up shooter, playing for a coach that rarely ever runs set plays. Hopefully he can see minutes under a coach next year who understands how to utilize a dead eye shooter who struggles to create his own shot.

You do realize that players and their families are going to spend a lot of time around coaches outside of the roughly 2 1/2 hours spent in an arena for a game? Especially while traveling and all staying in a hotel together.

Let me get this straight....we had Grayer to start the season right?

Vs PENN 9mins, 1 TO, 5pts, 1-2 from 3
VS AU 23 mins, 3 TO, 10pts 2-5 from 3.
VS GASO, 31min, 0TO, 25 pts, 5-10 from 3
VS SOUTHERN 3TO, SEE THE TREND WITH TURNOVERS? DP DIDN'T TRUST HIM WITH THE BALL UNLESS IT WAS A SET SHOT. MAYBE WAS B/C OF HIS FOOT? WE WILL NEVER KNOW. DUNNO WHY THIS IN CAPS.

Didn’t see or hear anything, but that doesn’t mean anything more than it wasn’t noticeable during the games.

Who knows about before, after or at the hotel.

At every level playing time is the number one concern for parents. So given what everyone else is saying, seems plausible.

Do you seriously think this is the kind of thing that would happen in the arena, in front of the team and spectators?

Is this dude playing tomorrow? Please say he is.

Yes, there's an actual game tomorrow where actual players are probably going to play...

I heard somewhere that a bunch of guy's minutes are going to add up to 40.

Biggest game of DP era is in 23 hours. vcpoo doesnt need nor prob care about this game. This game has huge implications for us. Its Otis' last home game. It's not only biggest game for DP era, but also a gut check for the program and DP. If we cant win this game for some of the best reasons a team should have and need, then I'm flushing this coach down the drain. It's time to put up, or get the f**k out. Otis alone deserves better and he should get a hell of a send off starting in 23 hours and into the post season.

After our second game in Florida, when the Mason contingent was all hanging out and mingling with fans on the concourse, Jaire and his family seemed to be keeping to themselves and not interacting much with the other families or the coaches. I can't explain it but something felt off. They didn't look happy to be there, like the rest of the families did. I tried to tell myself it was nothing, just the letdown of losing, etc, but ... something must have happened.

That said, at times when he did play, Jaire definitely did not look healthy, either. He'd look good for a stretch, and then it would look like he was playing on one leg again.

We usually don't start playing until 30 minutes after tip. Since this game is starting at 7:30 instead of our normal 7:00, I think we won't spot them 10-16 points before we score.

We will win because we have no business winning this game. We'll all scratch our heads saying "where was that kind of game these past few weeks?" late Tuesday and all day Wed.
This is spot on analysis right here.

Patriot Games: Despite setbacks, George Mason still chasing expectations

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

"Mason stumbled out of the gate with a loss at home to Penn. Then they dropped an overtime game to American. They gave up 98 points in a road loss at Georgia State. With a chance to atone for the early stumbles against NCAA Tournament caliber competition in the Emerald Coast Classic, they lost by double digits to Cincinnati and Baylor. The Patriots headed to Thanksgiving break at 2-5."

It was Georgia Southern.....you would think WTOP would check their facts first.
