Wow, that video really made me remember what we were missing in not having Grayer this year.

So, this is an extremely strong indication that he is gone. Too bad, would have been an interesting team next year with a healthy Grayer filling the Otis void

Don't blame Grayer at all. He was an easy blame for paulsen. Seemed like every time grayer made a mistake on defense or made a TO he was pulled out of the game immediately. Granted I know he is still recovering from his foot injury, but it must be tough seeing Kier, Otis and Greene shoot a combined 7-29 but yet your PT is reduced...Grayer was a top ten 3pt shooter in Mason history and wasn't handled correctly.

Repeat of last time we played vcu. Otis won't handle the press correctly because of his height, forces Kier to bring up the ball. Both players get tired. Mason will be down 6 in the half, vcu will pull away in the second half and go up by double digits. Mason makes a late run on senior night which cuts the lead under 10 until a barrage of 3's by vcu forces the student section to leave early.

I meant that I personally witnessed the fact that the older Grayer was not happy, I didn't see a specific incident which it now seems like Jim was referring to.

My seats are in front of where the players families sit so we usually get to know or at least recognize a lot of them. For example, a guy I believe is AJ's brother is one of the funnest fans to watch when AJ is in the game and trying to throw down tomahawk dunks from the foul line.

If you've heard the phrase "aint no sunshine in him", that would apply to Grayer's demeanor in the stands this season (but not in prior seasons).

I wasn’t there, but heard that Grayer’s dad was pissed about the way Jaire was being used and let both DP and Edwards hear about it during the Florida tournament. Loudly.

It’s too bad because by all accounts Jaire is an exceptional young man. I wish this year had gone differently for him.

Ah, that would explain why I haven't seem him in the stands since then (which also coincides with Jaire no longer playing)

I think his playing time went down last season? But it would seem with Boyd and Mar playing like they did, it would necessarily have to? I wonder if Grayer was who Paulsen kept alluding to when he said some players will have to accept playing less minutes?

It dates back to last year when Jaire hurt his foot and Javon started getting more of his minutes.

Jaire’s dad wasn’t happy that his playing time got cut. That’s why the rumor was flying around that Jaire was going to transfer after last season.
