Thanks so much Pablo!!

I'll add one more observation because I am still grieving...Polite took more shots than Josh. Let that sink in. You can say our PGs don't measure up but one (XJ) is a hell of a lot better than the other (Polite) IMO.This blew my mind!! I was apoplectic and screaming, "WHY!?!?!?!?" at English from across the court. I would have preferred Oduro take a 3 then place the fate of the team in Polite's shaky hands.
Fair point. I'd love to hear English's answer. Our 2006 FF team avg 7.1 steals for a rank of 156th.
This year, we avg 5 steals per game. A few less games....regardless, we are ranked 323rd in steals.
Is our defensive game plan tough enough? We can't safely try pressure or disrupt the opposing offense??? We scheme like we have All Americans up and down our roster.
Do you see how unathletic our guards are? Can’t cause steals if you are a turnstile on defense. Gaines is our only plus defender. Cooper, XJ, Polite x50 are horrible defenders. Oduro isn’t a good interior defender either. Scheme of not being aggressive has to be due to personelOur 2006 FF team avg 7.1 steals for a rank of 156th.

The good news about that type of guy is they're not the hardest thing to find. They can be had much easier than a center or true point guard.Wasn't that the last year we ever really saw the "scramble" defense?
The philosophy of English's defense is to force teams into contested 3s or long 2s, get the rebound, and then push the ball up the floor. The problem the team ran into is they couldn't keep players out of the paint half the time and they gave up too many uncontested 3s.
And if you expect someone like Ticket to box-out guys who are 50-70 pounds heavier than he is, you're going to have nights like against UMass and Fordham where they give up way too many offensive rebounds.
I'd love a transfer who is around the same size as Schwartz (6'7 225ish), but plays like a bulldog at the 4 rather than a big guard, that way Ticket can move to the wing where he belongs and Oduro can have some help on the inside keeping teams honest in the paint.
WOOOOOOF!If you can’t read the English quotes and not think he is seriously gonna turn this place around idk what to tell you.
Be pissed off today, but re up those season tickets because the wins will come.
Anyone have the link to the presser?
Didn't see game. KE clearly not happy with the refs on Oduro's 3rd and 4th fouls. Agree with KE? Disagree?

Talk is cheap. We got worse in practically every area throughout the season. That's what I'm pissed off about. Not wins and losses. If you can’t read the English quotes and not think he is seriously gonna turn this place around idk what to tell you.

On Chuba's last shot, was Josh in the semi-circle? If not, then how was that not a charge???

Yeah it's cool that Kim is super pissed or whatever but it's also meaningless. That's now three double-digit second half leads blown in 17 conference games, plus a handful of other second half disasters on his coaching report card. To-do list for KE this offseason:Talk is cheap. We got worse in practically every area throughout the season. That's what I'm pissed off about. Not wins and losses.
It is great that he can recruit, but KE needs to take a big sophomore leap as a coach.
Yeah I mean I agree talk is cheap, but the season is over, what would you be looking for following an L today? I’ll take this cheap talk over the alternative, which is also still cheap talk. At least we are recognizing publicly that there are issues, something something step one…Yeah it's cool that Kim is super pissed or whatever but it's also meaningless. 1) Build around Oduro, JF, Ticket, and hopefully Coop
2) smash the transfer portal
3) take a long hard look in the mirror.
He’s taking the blame and that’s fine, but the reality is there’s only so much a coach can do about his team constantly choking — other than get a bunch of new players, which I’m sure is Plan A. There must be leadership, toughness and will to win on the floor, it can’t all come from the coach.Yeah I mean I agree talk is cheap, but the season is over, what would you be looking for following an L today? Late season rebounding struggles, which I believe KE addressed, were very frustrating.Talk is cheap. We got worse in practically every area throughout the season. That's what I'm pissed off about. Not wins and losses.

Free throw shooting has got to get better. Maybe the team was just too tightly wound this year. Bring back whiffleball - or something. He’s taking the blame and that’s fine, but the reality is there’s only so much a coach can do about his team constantly choking — other than get a bunch of new players, which I’m sure is Plan A.
