As long as Otis doesnt try to dribble through 4 defenders, then try and force a pass to a covered man, turn the ball over, AJ makes his free throws, if he's going to play slam ball and be around the rim all the time, hes going to get fouled, he has to make his free throws. OH and Grayer doesnt pass the ball to DP, maybe, just maybe Mason can be in this game till the end. If these things keep happening..... lose by 10+

I have faith Mar will return to form, but we don't have the luxury of waiting for it to happen. Otis and Jaire have proven what they can do as 3 year starters. AJ and Boyd appear to have taken leaps to allow their play to match their athleticism/skillset. Greene showed against American what Paulsen has been seeing. Gotta roll with them and get some wins.

Defensively we need to go back to last years pack line. Why on earth would DP change the base defense when most of these guys have been playing it their whole career here.

The defense they are currently playing is the defense he would like to play. He tries to play it at the beginning of every season and it never works, mostly because Otis is a pretty mediocre man defender and we also don't seem to do a good job of dealing with screens.

Agreed. Put the best contributing players on the team and go from there. If Mar starts looking better in less playing time then ease him in, otherwise keep the guys who you know can contribute on the floor and go. Don't mess around, go time.

I do think AJ has earned the right to start at the 4, but would not agree with effectively cutting Goanar out of the rotation. He’s too young and talented to not let him play his way out of this slump to some extent — especially since our at-large hopes already are on a ventilator.

Gotta focus on getting a top-4 seed so we have a chance to win in Brooklyn. Unless he is ill or injured, Goanar is a huge part of that effort.
