Pretty impressive reflections. Worth a listen.
Agreed. St. Louis got a great coach there, not that anybody wouldn't have been an upgrade over Travis Ford. Guy is really honest about taking blame but also giving us credit. He probably owned more mistakes in that one game than Kim did in two years combined at Mason.

Some of the best coaching analysis, especially after a loss than I've seen in a while. A couple things I took away from this...Yes, we're going to get everyone's best as we're wearing the crown, but it's also gonna make them nervous coming for the king. Hence SLU's terrible opening sequence of turnovers.

Secondly, we're a scouting nightmare. Of course they're going to game plan for Haynes and Maddox, but that sounded like about the extent of their specifics. Every team is going to have to make in-game adjustments to handle a game where Woody, Anderson, O'Connor, KD, or Begg go off. They can't plan for all of our potential weapons. Once we get them out of their rhythm we got them where we want em.

Agreed. Sounds like SLU were focused on limiting Haynes without having Avila guarding him primarily and avoiding foul trouble. They took the more logical tactic of having Avila sag off of Woody to help clog the paint.

We only shot a little over 30% from 2 and Jalen was 4-10, below his average of close to 60%. But of course, Woody spoiled the strategy by hitting a career-high number of 3's! And I think if they had Avila play him tighter, Woody would have blown by him for lay-ups (but probably not 27 points worth!) or it would have opened up the paint more for Jalen.

Nice to have a number of options of secondary scorers who have the potential of lighting it up on occasion!

If it wasn’t Woody, it could have just as easily been Anderson—or Begg, or O’Connor.

We have a lot of unselfish players and so what looks like a collection of mediocrity underneath Haynes and Maddox are really just a bunch of guys doing their job.
