Some bad plays for sure. But don’t forget to include his good plays too.

For sure. I’m not necessarily just trashing KD here. He does a ton of good on the court and has won us some games too. It’s just if you’re trying to learn lessons from the end of regulation it’s literally just play simply and do the small stuff right (foot behind line, don’t go for the steal on a 50/50 ball, guard their shooters, box out on missed FTs).

Because that erases the false and lazy narrative with a few of our fans that KD’s the reason for anything bad that that happens with this team. Without his 11 points, steady ball-handling and solid defense, we don’t win this game.

Whew, what a win. I think we all need to realize from here on out we are going to get every teams best shot. I watched SLU play a couple of games this year and tonight they looked like a different team. We didn't play our usual tough D, and I agree with most Bill ups should have been on Avillia most of the game. Once again someone else stepped up tonight (Woody) and that s a good thing moving forward, teams will have to prepare for everyone on our team. This is a veteran team and they know how to play when games are tight near the end of games. It may not be pretty , but these guys know how to win.Go Mason.

He’s been excellent for the last 2/3 of the season. Just very positive in every respect and steady closing out games at PG.

"The win is the Patriots' fifth-straight in games decided by five points or less and its third-consecutive overtime triumph.

The Green & Gold have won 10-straight games overall – good for the second-longest streak in the nation – and have started conference play 11-1 for the first time in the 59-year history of the program."

I just dont get how avila scores man its wild. He isn't quick nor strong, he's smart for sure but man some hip checks to clear him out of the paint aren't too hard even if you're giving up size. Refs let him hack and swat away on D as much as he wants too.

Good win for us and god bless Woody but man Skinn needs to keep growing as a coach. I love him and love what he's brought to this team (not to mention how far ahead of CKE) he is but it seems like he is super slow to pull the trigger on timeouts sometimes to stop momentum of the other team and has some weird defensive rotations and lapses in crunch time. Also this team needs to work on finding a body on the glass.

Gotta give Avila his propers—he torched us last night.

It appeared to me that part of SLU's game plan was to keep Avila away from Jalen Haynes on both offense and defense. It worked. It gave Avila the space to do the things that he does best and Robbie played a fantastic game. Again, Avila's not the most athletic center in the A10, but he's got the highest basketball IQ of the lot. I'm glad Mason kept him under 30... phwew.

Gotta give Avila credit- he showed up last night. Many times he hit 25 foot shots which Gio or whomever was slow to close on.

That said, once we put Billups on him, he had a lot more difficulty.

In general though, our defense otherwise as usual was on point. Jimerson didn't get anything comfortable off (other than the one shot he beat KD to the ball), and was off balance all night. It took some long 3 pointers for them to even send the game to overtime.

I don't want to see St Louis again in March, although on a neutral court I suspect it would be a lot different than their home floor. Our games with them are usually like this but it was nice to finally come out on top.

We now have road wins at Bonaventure Davidson Dayton St louis. Tough places to win.

Is it just me, or does it seem like every wild desperation 3 teams take against us at the end of games (or shot clock) goes in!!??

I'm a lot more confident in playing them when they've had to play the day before. They've got no bench.

Thats a good point, but in general with how the games with them go, I don't want to see them again. But then again, I get nervous playing just about everyone in the league, so I'm probably not the best person to ask lol.

I don't want to see GW again. Sure, Woody isn't gonna go off like that again if we see SLU again, but neither is Avila.
