I don't see Abram, Kam, or Dixon getting much time. Although, I think Kam is good on the defensive end, and Abram is good on the offensive end (minus the passing).

Agreed, I think they have been recruited over at this point...

Otis and Jaire are both absolute locks at the 1 and 3, Kier is the favorite at the 2, Relvao or Troy at the 5 with 4 being completely up in the air. Boyd should be first one off the bench at the 2 and 3 if he can't beat Kier for the starting spot.

We should not ignore history - none of us expected Otis to do what he did as a freshman and same goes for Kier.

I think Newman has a sneaky chance at starting at the 2 spot next year. He's got more natural scoring ability than Kier and Grayer (Grayer is still below average inside the arc) and we'll need someone to replace Marquise's scoring. If we start with these guys:

1. Otis
2. Newman
3. Grayer
4. Wilson
5. Relvao or Temara

Then we can have a very solid bench rotation that includes Kier and Boyd getting big minutes at the backup 1-3 spots, and Mar spelling the bigs for the minutes he's ready. Javon Greene is kind of a wildcard, but it's easy to see him carving out a role as the season wears on too.

These are good problems to have! Replacing Jalen and Marquise won't be easy but Dave is filling up the cupboard and we'll have a lot of talent competing for these roles.

What DP could have done with Isaiah Jackson is scary. I wish he wouldn't have left

Yeah, I agree. And I think he could have done a lot with Porter. But if neither of them wanted to be here and they would just be a drag on the program as much as I hate it, I'm glad they moved on.

We just have a complete difference in why body size matters. Unless we play against Holloway from UMASS, what other big man has abused us this year that we would play again next year? No problem by me starting someone better when the other team doesn't have a Holloway sized player

I agree you play your best 5 within reason, but I don't think you can play a 180-pound freshman at center if you want to be competitive.

Who know's it could all be moot if Wilson gains 15-25 lbs. Weight room did wonders for Jalen and Grayer

I'm gonna put it out there right now: If AJ can put on an additional 25-30 pounds without losing his explosiveness, he's going to be in the conversation for A-10 POY before he's done at Mason.

Everything I'm hearing is the kid is a hard worker who wants to be great.

He is an A-10 caliber defender now and is expanding his offensive game beyond the paint out to the 3-point line.

As anybody who saw the video of him grabbing the rim on a 12-foot goal will attest, he already has the raw material to work with.

6-7, 215 with that leaping ability? You're talking about a freaking monster.

Dave's gonna do what Dave's gonna do, so we can't totally rule this out, but right now it's a problem that our second tallest player on the court is always 6'4". I don't know who gets minutes between Mar, Wilson, Relvao, and Temara, but I bet we see two of them on the court a lot.

I don't see why do many people's starting 5 are overlooking Grayer. He is poised to be our top scorer next year.
