Lol I want a win. But this is one of those games where if we don't it won't really impact how I think of the team.

Hopefully seeing their name in the bracketology talk is starting to sink in. Play like you did at Dayton (minus the turnovers) and you have a real shot at getting to the big dance. Only way we lose is if we beat ourselves.
This is another one of those games where we can raise eyebrows from anyone who watches the A10. Winning a game like this can continue to change the narrative from "ooh Mason is legit" to "Heh Mason being Mason".
League play in the A10 is such a gauntlet. Bonaventure plays so well at home and is always well coached. I have no doubt that Tony and staff will have his guys ready to go tonight.

Where is that happening? We are still firmly on the outside looking in.
Andy Katz did a power rankings and had Mason at 37 for his top 37. Not really bubble talk per say, but winning obviously starts to get you on lists like these which then could lead into bubble talk. Mason isn't close to anything yet. Start body slamming some good teams by a large amount and they'll continue to creep into the conversation.
Also Lunardi had Mason as the AQ in his bracketology last week FWIW.

They could just as easily list vcu as the AQ and yes it happens all the time with Ties at the top. While I agree they are a long way off from going to the tournament, it's spilting hairs here. However I do think it does help branding to be mentioned even if it is as an AQ. This isn't a negative thing. While their net is way too low to be in AT Large consideration. The ECU and CMU loses kill them and why so many were so mad, knowing those were winnable games.
As always the expectations of what Mason Basketball is or isn't and what is considered a good year varies a lot from person to person and that's fine. This isn't a negative thing being mentioned though. The program is on the rise regardless if they dance or not. I always had the expectation of year 3 under Tony with Gio and Haynes back next year to go along with O'Connor at the 2 and some transfers I think the expectations should be the Tournament next year. This year a double bye is what should be expected with anything more being exciting. I know others just find fielding a team and winning 15-18 games is acceptable but hopefully Tony raises that bar across the board.
ESPN (puke!) has us as the A10 auto qualifier.
vcu is .5 games back. They’ve played one fewer game than we have. SLU is tied with us for first but their NET is significantly worse than ours, same with Duquesne.
Edit: just rechecked the standings and all three of those teams are half a game back at 4-1. We are only team with 5 wins and are alone in first.

Almost everyone associated with the team yesterday had it running through their IG stories though. It's obviously on their mind.
Our Guards need to have great shooting games and protect the ball. Haynes is gonna eat (hopefully) and hoping he is fully healthy - concussions can be tricky.

Dunne is just "okay" is the most questionable thing I've ever heard on these boards.
Neither team at full strength tonight, Vegas starting to finally lower Mason's O/U but probably got to hit that again tonight.

Who are both sides missing? Saw someone describe Bonnies as "shorthanded". Tempted to throw some scratch on this one but like you said, the spread keeps narrowing.
