We are 0 - 6 against them since joining the A10, losing by an average of 10.6 points over the span. We have the chance to get over .500 for the first time ever in conference play. We've beaten teams I didn't think we could handle and we've lost to teams I expected to crush. Who knows? My heart says Mason by 6, my mind says GW by 5. How's that for being noncommittal?

If we play like we did against Richmond for the first 33 minutes on Sunday, we'll win by 10 plus. If we play like we did vs SLU, we'll lose by 15+. Luckily based on the amount of the games we've played this year, the SLU game seems like the outlier rather than something we should expect to see every few games.

I expect a close win as my mentality is slowly Paulsenified and dehewitted.

GW is struggling this year and Mason has a chance to pull away from some of the bottom teams with the next 3 games against GW, @Umass and @SLU. If Mason plays well like they did against Richmond, they should be able to win by 5-10 points.

I'm bummed I won't be there for the game Wednesday, but I hope I can find it airing on TV in Atlanta or at least watch it on the ASN website.

Still early in conference play but a win on Wednesday would help keep Mason in the top half of the A10 standings and would hopefully separate us from that dreaded bottom 4/ play in game scenario for the conference tourney. I don't see us finishing top 4 in the conference, so the automatic quarterfinals seed seems a bit out of reach. Ideally we can land a 5 or 6 seed and play a team from the play in games. Love to see Mason get over .500 in conference and begin some separation from the basement dwellers.

As for Wednesday:

George M: 80
George W: 71

"Anyone else going to the game on Wednesday? I'm going to be there. Just scored some great seats from a Mason season ticket holder who is unable to attend. We played a close one and beat Duquesne and I think that kicks off a 3 game winning streak. Mason is improved but when you look at the match ups, GW is still better. We've got size, experience and superior skill. I've got to give Mason the quickness edge but thery're nowhere as quick as Richmond or vcu, so we can deal with them on that front. Looking ahead (which is dumb...I know...) We should beat St. Louis at home which will get us to a winning conference record. If we can get some confidence, maybe we can pick off a win or two against RI, Richmond, vcu and St. Bonnie."

There are a lot of teams who have said this about our team and been wrong so far this season. Let's finally get one from GW.

I think we should be favored in this game. I'm expecting a close game that we close out at the end. I'm loving Grayer's improvements and would also like to see some valuable contributions from Relvao and Termara. Kier is another player who is just getting better each game.

GW's strength is their bigs, will be interesting to see how it plays out but it is imperative like in most games that Jenkins doesn't get into early foul trouble.
