http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-ba...s-davidson-injury-report-update-knee-timeline:

"Davidson point guard Jack Gibbs has suffered a slight tear in his meniscus, coach Bob McKillop told CBS Sports on Wednesday.

When asked how long the freshman would be out, McKillop replied, 'Hopefully not long. Tyshawn Taylor had the same injury for Kansas a few years ago and came back in the same week.'"

I had a tiny tear in mine right before marathon training, sidelined me for a month.

"Trap game."

Remember when playing the Patriots in conference wasn't considered a trap game?
The "trap game" thing is a joke on our board. Every year we stumble against one or two weak OOC opponents. But not this season and, coincidentally, we've been referring to these games as trap games ahead of time.

So now we call every game a trap game. Even games like UVa, vcu, and Dayton.

We are 1-2 in A10 road games, and we are 0-3 playing in Virginia this season, including the blowout at U of R. And we won't have Jack Gibbs.

So, yes, this is definitely a trap game.

No offense, but you obviously haven't paid much attention to your Saturday opponent.

Can't say I blame you. Not much to see here.

The only "trap" you all have to worry about is your bus getting trapped on the side of the road because of the snow. Outside it's going to be snowing flakes, and inside it's going to be raining 3's.

Pat, I would guess, is out for this weekend and perhaps longer. He tweeted back and forth with Jackson and it appeared he wasn't going to play this weekend.

Mario has to pass concussion protocol including going through practices and being "symptom free". He might be fine today and have another issue on Friday. Not even a team doctor could say 100 percent he would play Saturday so not sure how I could.

Lockett is actually getting better by the day but wil redshirt and should have no issues. Pretty clear cut case. Marimba, as stated perfectly above, just has to pass all his classes and the NCAA a should give him all 4 years.

I'd never put odds on someone losing their job. That's bad mojo.

And the Athletic Department is still in need of more cash. Especially now that the A-10 voted to go along with full cost for both men and women's basketball. The price to play just went up.

I will say this. Brad is doing his homework. Those that think he doesn't care about basketball are wrong.

When A.-Siegfried talks. . . People listen.

For the young ones that don't get the reference...

"...individually, they are not very impressive at all." What a bunch of crap. "...doesn't have 1 or2 stud players." I know these comments are meant to be complimentary, but they are the comments of roboticized minds. There have been no greater studs in the A 10 this year than Jack and Tyler. Peyton isn't there yet but with more consistency will be. And Sully is only an angstrom off. Those statements show how programmed most people are to look at something a certain way, and if it does not meet certain standard parameters that have been pounded into their brains, make inane statements.
Having gotten that off my chest, I agree with WFTC. And the "collectively" statement. The fist is a whole lot stronger than 5 fingers. Even when the fingers individually are strong. And that is what all coaches strive for, but not all achieve. Bob has been able to sell that concept better than most. Young at Wofford has done it well. Matheny is still not there yet. Fox, I think will.

Maybe not impressive "AT ALL" was a bit much on my part, they do have some really good players. But my point was that we may possibly have an NBA first round draft pick on our team and we are dead last in the A10 and have embarrased ourselves in the OOC portion of our schedule.

If that doesn't equal horrible coaching, I don't what does.

You're in luck - Hewitt will not let you down. Any negative trend your team has going reliably comes to an end when facing a Hewitt led team. Struggling defense or offense - or in Davidson's case an 0 for VA. Right now GMU is the team to play if you're looking to get better or a certain geographical region is giving you problems.

I see what you're trying to say and get what the Davidson guy is saying too. When GMU was good under Larranaga, we all had to deal with the programmed power conference fan with preconceived notions about GMU.
