It was somewhat intentional (though I didn't actually think it would work).
I'd rather GMU have painful losses all season if that means Hewitt is gone. Pulling off wins against good conference rivals is the only way PH can hope to stay for another season. In the long-term interest of this program, I won't shed a tear if this team loses every game remaining this season. The words "blessing in disguise" come to mind.
I see your point. I want Hewitt gone too. As has been mentioned, this game's not on Hewitt. Or maybe it is? Just a total lack of poise and basketball smarts down the stretch.
