Lamar was talking about body language of players looking like they'd already lost when down 4 w/3:30 left in overtime - that says a lot on a lot of levels.

For all of his faults, Hewitt doesn't get to shoot free throws. At some point the players need to step up and not choke away games they should win. It's on them.

As much as I want Hewitt to go away, I can never root for the team to lose.

I'm not rooting for the team to lose. I'm rooting for the program to win. The latter is somewhat dependent on the first. You have to hit rock bottom before you can unload the dead weight and start going up again.

It was somewhat intentional (though I didn't actually think it would work).

I'd rather GMU have painful losses all season if that means Hewitt is gone. Pulling off wins against good conference rivals is the only way PH can hope to stay for another season. In the long-term interest of this program, I won't shed a tear if this team loses every game remaining this season. The words "blessing in disguise" come to mind.

I see your point. I want Hewitt gone too. As has been mentioned, this game's not on Hewitt. Or maybe it is? Just a total lack of poise and basketball smarts down the stretch.

How ironic - we've gotta shitty coach who is totally opposed to a team not fouling. We don't foul anyway - and we lose a heartbreaker.

I myself criticized Larranaga in those situations - maybe it's a reason dumbass TOC thought he's expendable. We've learned there is a lot more to a coach than what their philosophy is in the waning moments of a game with your team up 3.

As soon as Sullivan's shot went in tonight, you could look at our guys and knew we were screwed. Their body language was horrible and the OT was predictably ugly.

Not sure I get your point, KA. Butler went to the NCAA title game twice out of the Horizon League. A good team is a good team regardless, and Davidson is a good team with a good coach (just like Mason and vcu were when they made their runs from the lowly CAA). We are currently a bad team with a bad coach.
