After watching this train wreck tonight, I can't explain how I'm feeling right now... It's almost the same feeling as:

-Being told by the doctor you have genital herpes
-Or when you catch your wife cheating on you with one of her high school students
-Or eating a cone and the ice cream scoop falls on the floor
-Or while giving your 3 year old son a bath, you realize his dick is bigger than yours
-Or when you wake up butt naked, not rembering anything and Big Red is sleeping right next to you... Naked

Davidson is good even without Gibbs. We played really well tonight. Generally better on defense also. Tate really helped out on that end of the court.
I can't believe we're talking about needing Tate, though, as well as he played. That's how bad are 1-3s are. (Jackson excused because of age).

Way I look at it, Hewitt now lost one he deserved to win. He already won one on Jenkins' shot he deserved to lose, so we are right where we should be.

Wasn't mad we didn't foul...kid made a hell uva shot. Mad we lost the shooter when it was 65-59 though.

I'll never root against the players. They play their hearts out and they frankly deserve better. Like everyone on here, I want long term success in the basketball program.

I stopped counting at 8 the number of times Jenkins had a defender pinned on his back 5 feet from the basket, a guard looked right at him and refused to pass him the ball.

Same thing happened with Thompson several times.

Davidson's interior defense is awful -- we had a massive size advantage -- but we still had guys jacking up jump shots instead of just pounding it into the paint on every possession.

They were what we thought they were ... and we let them off the hook.

How cant you explain it? This happens about 4-5 times a season for the past couple years.

Hewett must go and that must happen on or before March 1...anything less is unacceptable...Folks here worried about recruits staying or going shouldn't care. We need a new attitude and that can't happen too soon.

Yup. That was the only real thing that consistently irritated me...no post entry pass when the ball hit the wing.

Not a coincidence more fouls on us much of the game.

I expected less of a team concept/proficiency with Hewitt, but I am shocked how these players still just generally play dumb.

I actually put a lot on the players, difference is Hewitt doesn't seem to be advancing them in any way. Plus these are mostly his guys now.

I thought at least individually he could develop them while the team concept suffered a little compared to L. He's not even doing that.

Kinda cute how the Davidson fans think their guys actually won this game.

Their message board is all about "gut check," "great win," so on and so forth.

Fact of the matter is if one of our best players can make one free throw, we win.

It was a massive choke. All Davidson was take advantage of our tendency to gag.

Was looking forward to checking the Davidson boards...then the last 15 seconds happened. Davidson didn't win...GMU lost.
