"When I look at the parts on the Mason team, all I can think of is that Lonergan would have this team in the tournament this year. Unbelievable that Holloway is shooting below 30% this season and isn't a 15 ppg guy. Moore had the sped, defense and distribution ability to be a top A-10 PG and he's barely a serviceable one now. Jenkins should have developed into a beast, Gray should be a Savage clone, Throw Thompson in there and they "should" be an absolutely solid team. Obviously the guy can recruit and has a good eye for talent, but he's just incapable of getting the best out of his players. Copes may not have made it at GW, but I have to think that it would've been better to be surrounded by s driven staff and team.

BTW, wonder what happened to Mayimba, I know we were after him at some point."

I think this paragraph is definitely stretching it, although yes, Hewitt should be getting more out of this team. Or having them improve slowly, at least. Savage is a damn good guard who was highly sought after, and I don't think anyone thinks Moore should be a top PG in the A-10 this year, or even close.

As far as Holloway, I don't blame Hewitt for his performance. Jenkins, yes. Some of the others? Yes.

I blame Hewitt for everything except Halloway and Gray.

I'm at the UD/Drexel game right now, so no Mason for me today. Are we losing yet?

Random thought popped in my head, and im sure it was discussed, but for all the Hewitt vs Larranaga comparisons, Hewitt did beat a Larranaga coached team when Hewitt was at GT and L at GMU. I believe it was the PR tip off years ago. Did u guys think that was just pure athletic ability beating our better x and o's?

Athletic Ability

Down 18-13. Not playing terrible but 2 on Moore now as well.

Hewitt's offense is terrible, but some of these guys simply have no basketball instincts at all as far as "spacing the floor."

NFL fans might recognize referee Gene Steratore reffing in our game. He's one of the best football refs and just did one of this years's playoff games. Very cool to see him doing both sports.

naw, its prob the mere fact they are tricked into liking an Nba system b/c they were sold on it during recruiting. just not a good enough level of talent to hide the need for in game coaching.

"There's so many non-shooters on this team."- NBC commentator...

Lol
Oh man they showed the graphic for GMU's last 5 seasons, that was sad to look at with the downward trend in winning but the commentators were like "its sooo tough to transition to the A10...How about Davidson right now?" Lol

Last GW possession of the half, GMU defending, commentator : "Who's guarding the ball? (didn't hear) needs to recognize that." GW drops a three with 4 seconds left. *eyeroll*
