Weren't going to make a bid without automatic, tough loss. shots didn't fall but the team didn't give up. Will still be a top 4 team if business is handled, move on to these next two road games and hope we come out 4-1.

We had two buzzer beaters last year off inbound plays.

Davidson played good defense and denied Boyd and Otis the ball off the curls.

But I said the exact same thing. At that point you’ve got to ride and see what happens and not let Davidson set their defense.

It’s also ok and PC to admit that Reuter is god awful. He’s usually a hell of a passer but even that wasn’t working for him tonight rendering him useless. Dude gets the ball 12 times a game has 3 thrnovers and 2 missed layups. Not good

Sorry I’ll clarify that I meant half court and under the opponents basket. Last year Inbounds plays from inside center court or were they of the full court variety?! Because I distinctly remember full court for at least one of those.

If Reuter made those 2 foot shots in the 1st half, this is a different game. There is no excuse to miss those.

This was very similar to the K State game, except we held on to the ball. I can't figure out for the life of me how this team is inconsistent from 3. Was Paulsen telling them to keep shooting those? JDS got playing time because 3's is his shot, and sometimes he was wide open and no one saw it. Davidson pretty much dared Mason to shoot 3's in the 2nd half.

Kier is going to have an off night somewhere, and there will be a 20+ point blowout loss because no one else is stepping up. Some nights, there has been balanced scoring, but tonight wasn't it.

At least we hit a majority of our free throws tonight (22-27).

Goaltending needs to be review able in the final minute of the game. The replay was shown in the arena, and it didn't appear the shot was going down when AJ blocked it. That is a HUGE call right there.

Can't shoot 10% from behind the arc and turn it over 15 times and expect to be anyone, let alone a team like Davidson.

At least we know we should be scared of Davidson. Missed our chance to set the tone early in the game when we missed a bunch of gimmies.

Executed defensively. Sucked offensively. Our crowd is terrible. Let’s hope we don’t lose our marbles on the road.

I think we have ourselves a contender for the A-10 crown. I want first place and a guaranteed NIT birth if we can’t win in Brooklyn and dance. I don’t want to hear the discussion of any other shitty tournaments.

So, if I was coach after tonight my practices would consist entirely of three point shooting and layups. Every minute of every practice. Nothing else until both of those improve. Those two things need to improve for us to have consistency.

They are focused on playing lock-down defense. The reality is perimeter shooting is going to suffer when the guys are leaving it all on the floor on the other end; they’re not robots and shooting is the first thing to go when legs get tired.

Our defense for the final 15 minutes was insanely good. We completely took Davidson out of what they want to do. Took away the backdoor cuts and were still able to get out and contest the 3.

Just couldn’t get over the hump after cutting a 15-point deficit to 1.

He needs to go right up and force them to foul him. He's a good FT shooter and should be getting to the line a heck of a lot more than he does.

Davidson was hacking the crap out of our players.

Agreed, but a lot of their hacks hit all ball, I could hear it all game. They closed the paint well.

The charge against Reuter was a terrible call.

Our defense was spectacular in 2nd half to the point I had to rewatch how well we rotated.
