While I agree that Nike is better, I don't think we are going to win or lose based on being an adidas school. It can effect recruiting, but once the game starts it will make minimal difference.

They run 2 pgs like us. I don't think their combo of Williams/Lewis is better than Moore/Livingston. They run about 8-9 deep but their production off the bench are mostly freshmen like us. I don't think their young players are as effective as ours though. They do have the advantage for their bigs, two seniors and a junior. They will prob run 4 guard against us so I like our chances. Burgess and Brooks will miss a bunch of freethrows and three's and give us the win.

Mo Allie-Cox isn't any better than Jenkins. He's a bully, but Jenkins is strong enough to hang with him.

I watched the game at Mason last year yesterday and we really limited and frustrated JeQuan Lewis (3 pts on 1-4 shooting, fouled out at the end when Moore stole the inbounds pass with about 12 seconds to go) and we had a huge advantage on the inside between Jenkins, Thompson, and Marko. We won't have Marko and Thompson obviously, but Jenkins went 6-6 from the floor and finished with 16 pts and 8 rebounds while playing starters minutes. So, while he's in there, we should be fine. When he needs a rest, or if gets into foul trouble, though, the dropoff is pretty steep.

For as decent a program vcu has been of late, seriously doubt they ever win an A-10 regular season or tournament championship.

Here is my question - I watched our last game against them (Feb 2016) and we beat them even when we had a lousy rebuilding year.

We are much better than last year - shouldn't our chances be better this year ?
