Mason fans shouldn’t accept what they’ve had to endure the past few seasons. That is a head-scratching loss, but unfortunately, it’s one this program has seen again and again... and again.

I truly think we have a roster of about 8 capable guys that can play at this level. The problem is we have a coach that’s game plans and coaching make it look like we have 3 on every given game day. No reason kids like AJ, Javon and Jordan shouldn’t absolutely be dominating these weaker teams. Our game plan takes AJ effectively out of the game a lot of the time. Javon and Jordan are streaky and with this slow down offense it doesn’t help them heat up. Kolek getting a lot of wide open looks from These guys as well. And Oduro is a grade B+ passer a lot of the time to the perimeter which is very good for a big. Maybe some stay if Skinn comes in and Lamar supports him. I know Lamar and Oduro are very close. If Oduro is a leader he might be able to convince others to stay. Maybe I’m wrong but who knows.

It doesn't matter what type of fan you are. Alumni or not. Donor or not. Green Coat or casual.

Everyone needs to contact Brad Edwards and Dr Washington the displeasure we have with the program right now. Email, tweet, whatever. We need to start having the conversations that this is not acceptable and decisions need to be made to help the program long term.

Simple as that. The more people who complain the better the chances are.

If they dont' make changes this year, I may have to reconsider the level of support I give because quite frankly this is a ginormous waste of time for me at this point.

lol I’m not trying to sound pompous, but anyone who knows me in the AD, knows that I’m reconsidering and really unhappy, something must be really wrong. I’m patient as f**k.

maybe I should talk about my 20 years of fanhood, not missing home games for 10 years, seeing mason on the road (usually losing), and being one of like 5 fans in Brooklyn and Dc at the a10 tournament

How many times can we buy into hype? “Most veteran team” “2 year season” “Jared top 5 in A10” “Henry will make us forget about AJ”

Too often in the past we made excuses for the head coach because we bought into his excuses. If he gets fired or not is not up to us but one thing is clear to us at By George specifically - we don’t have an identity, not even just organized and technically sound at this point. We are so far from having a killer instinct and it gets hard to root for, especially for DC sports fans who are already fatigued. We have friendly relationships with everyone from Brad to the guy who runs audio at the pressers, it’s hard at this point to root for people to get fired but....dear God....FIX IT!

It’s not as famous, or infamous, as G Mas that’s for sure! I’ve had a real problem with G Mas hoops since the DP hire and stopped supporting financially. However, the school, in general, has disappointed me more.

I did not drink the kool-aid this year, I think most of us knew what we’d be. After our 5-13 A-10 record last season even the most supportive fans were ready to move on. Some vocal some just realistically knowing it wouldn’t happen due to Mason being Mason and DP having 2 seasons remaining on his contract.

This season should be the last season in the Paulsen era period. There is zero excuse for that, his buyout is not much. The pandemic should play no part in the decision. I’m typically not a fan of firing college coaches mid season because I’d rather not disrupt the student athletes that signed on the play for him. 6 games in I’m not against a midseason firing though.

I’ve been prepping for it but I also drank the koolaid a little bit again this season. I really thought there was a shot that we’d have something special with AJ and Javons senior year.

Whoever posted it above was right, we really should have seen the red flags with the captain selection this year. I’m still amazed how senior regression is a thing for us. Small sample size, but dudes peak in year 2-3 under Paulsen, then begin to regress.

For me personally the program feels to be at an all time low, and I don’t think there’s any coming back from losing to Norfolk St / the Twitter debacle from the AD. Time to blow it all up and try again. At least with a new coach we have an excuse for playing like we did last night.
