Mason bought out Hewitt, why not Paulsen.

Hewitt made: 666k.
Paulsen:416k

I understand this requires a two year buyout, but it’s only 166k more than Hewitt’s buyout. Get rid of Greene’s 100k salary and it’s basically a wash.

You’re talking like 166k is nothing to the Athletics program.. You’re also not considering that you are probably buying out the assistant coaches contracts as well. Additionally, i think most agree that if we were to get rid of Paulsen, we need to bring in a coach that can take us from an average/below average A10 program, to a top A10 program, which means they will probably need to pay them more than Paulsen, give them a bigger assistant salary pool, higher recruiting budget, etc.

All of that and a lot more has to be considered first, and like I said, I don’t see it happening this year.

We basically have to face up to the fact that he's going to be here next year. Hopefully he can't use the injury excuse next year and we can see a full roster, which will teach us that he is either a good coach who learns from his mistakes or he's not and we can confidently get rid of him.

Would gladly take him back at Bucknell. We can work a trade. Our coaching staff for DP.
You help with the buyout I’m sure we can work something out. He can’t recruit well enough to hide his lack of coaching against athletic folks he’s not used to playing against. Please take him back.

Him being back next year is very unlikely. The team regressing has left a bad taste in the mouth of many who call the shots. Id put it at 25 percent chance he is back next season.

Agreed. We are probably stuck with him again next year when we relive the nightmare that is this year. Next year will put us at year 10 of irrelevance. Getting rid of him results in another 3 - 5 year rebuilding period. All I ask is that we return to the dance in my lifetime. I'm currently 17 years old and the average life expectancy in my family is 95.

That would be great. He’s embarrassing.

Please for the sake of the remaining season ticket holders get out of the A 10. This university had and still has no idea what it means to be competitive. DIV II or DIV III makes more sense.

Lol this reads like the take from one of the geriatric retirees that sits near me. Moving down in conference doesn’t help us, and long term probably hurts us.

We would actually have a chance to dance in the CAA every year. We have zero in the A10 under this regime.

We would be giving up millions of dollars a year that help fund the athletic department by going back to the CAA, and in order to dance in the CAA, you have to win the league. Moving down isn’t an option, and it’s a stupid suggestion.

You might be right but the big name assistants already left. I guess we will wait and see
