Kermit Davis
It took him 11 years to get MTSU where it is. I'd call that a wash.

Details?Well it looks like Dave is indeed in the market for a JUCO transfer
So you're saying he's become a better coach over time??? Well that's just crazy talk!!!!
That so-called "wash" is coming out pretty clean looking.
- Finished 1st in his conference 4 times in the last 6 years and that included a move from Sun Belt to Conf. USA.
- In 11 years he's finished out of the top 3 only twice.
- He's been awarded conf. coach of the year in three different leagues.
- His program is the first double-digit seed mid-major to beat a P5 program in the tournament in consecutive years.
And I assume you would agree with Mark Few, Randy Bennett, and Archie Miller right? It's a wash with Paulsen, yes.
Now Gregg Marshall I'll give you. But he also makes over 3 million a year.

I didn't think the OP was really asking for "any" non-P5 coach -- more like ones we could realistically hire.
If I'm wrong about that, my bad.
But there's no sense discussing any of those other guys anyhow. We are fortunate to have a great coach who is doing all the right things for our program.
We could hire a famous local athlete as a program ambas...f**k it nevermindThat's what I understood too.
Don't get me wrong, Kermit Davis would do a good job here. But I'm happy with what Paulsen has done in only his second year and look forward to an improved program going forward.
Now, if we can only do something about the AD's engagement with the community and get more people on board, that would be nice.

I hate hearing Edwards in interviews. He always talks about "basketball being an investment" blah blah blah.
Yes that's true, but that doesn't get people excited. He needs to talk about players and how well the programs are doing and their accomplishments. That's what gets people excited to talk to you.
That flaming dog turd of a CBI game didn't help.
I remember the same thing happening to UMD in the NIT in 2006 and they lost to I think Manhattan at home in the first round.

The Jaspers had some legit teams...not a losing record lacrosse school.
