Mark Turgeon will miss that type of energy at home this season as he looks to keep Maryland in the mix for an NCAA Tournament bid in what could be a historical year for the Big Ten.
vcu: A home game at the Siegel Center when vcu is rolling is more life altering than a 10-day trip to Europe (full disclosure — I have never been to Europe, but plan to go soon). The Rams announced last week that they plan to start the season with up to 1,000 fans in attendance and that could inhibit a young vcu team who was picked ninth in last week’s Atlantic 10 preseason poll."
