My mind says B.
My heart hopes for E.
Would settle for D.

At this point I honestly hope for no non conference no matter what. Our non conference was already looking super weak when we were still scheduling teams, at this point we aren't going to schedule anyone worth playing anyway. Let's go straight to A10 play in January and see how we stack up against the teams we are supposed to stack up against.

How this NBA and MLB seasons go will be the biggest indicator of if we'll see CBB this winter. If the NBA can't do it with all of their resources and the damn bubble, then there is a 0 percent chance. If they can keep the cases low (0 is an unrealistic expectation for any sport) then I think we still have a small glimmer of hope of a conference only, no fan season, with a reduced march madness. They'd have to set March Madness up similar to the NBA bubble and play all at one site with severe movement restrictions on the teams while they are in the tournament.

MLS is in the same bubble as NBA (Disney World) and has been doing well with cases so far.

USL (soccer second division, for those who have no idea what USL is) might be a better case...they are playing in their home stadiums with minimized fan attendance.

Of course, both of these are outdoor sports. An Indoor sport will be entirely different.

I'll take the weak teams. At least we have a chance to win a home game. I really need hoops! LOL.

In a season with no fans and no OOC games, I would love to see the A-10 play a true home/away schedule with a 26-game conference season. It will not happen, but it would be fun to see.
Count me in on this. The reason the Big 10 and Pac 12 went to conference only games wasn't because its not as safe to play non conference games, but that it provides the conferences flexibility to make whatever adjustments they have to make, should they need to make them.
So scheduling a 26 game season of just A10 games is still a full season and allows the A10 all the flexibility they need to make it happen.

https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/07...and-multiple-dates-for-the-championship-game/:

"Pegged by many in college football as the conference most likely to cancel its fall season, the Pac-12 is plowing forward with plans for a 10-game conference-only schedule.

The official announcement, with weekly matchups, is expected no later than the end of next week.

But the Hotline has pieced together the framework of the preferred model based on information provided by sources familiar with the plan.

Considering the coronavirus case counts and curve trajectories in several areas of the Pac-12 footprint, it’s a fairly aggressive approach that spans a maximum of 14 weeks beginning in the middle of September.

'They are assuming some success in the next month or two (against the virus),' one source said."

"*** The Pac-12 championship at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas could be played on any of three weekends."

https://www.espn.com/college-footba...onsin-athletics-risk-football-season-canceled:

"Wisconsin's athletic department is projecting revenue losses between $60 million and $70 million if the Badgers play a conference-only, 10-game season and losses of more than $100 million if the upcoming football season is canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic."

"A Wisconsin spokesperson told ESPN that the financial model assumes limited capacity at home football games, but he didn't specify what percentage."

Would love to see a breakdown of the projected losses.

My brother is a H.S. football coach in California. He says they're planning on starting practice during Winter Break. I'm thinking Spring or bust for football across america.

Same thing in Loudoun County - "Spring Football". He is also having to reschedule any college visits.
