I want Simpkins to get the job because, even if Buzz gets the job, we still have to worry about Skinn leaving for A&M.

I mean it seems like he wants that job. Even if he stays, it is because he didn't get the job. And will be out next year.

I agree it seems he wants the job. But whether he is gone after next year should depend on what is open and the package.

I’ll never fault a guy for taking life changing money, but it’s wild to me that so many folks on here who shat on KE for jumping ship after pretty much the exact same scenario (arguably KEs situation was even more forgivable to jump from, we didn’t double his salary in an extension). Hope yall keep that same energy this go around if we lose a head coach who didn’t get us to the tournament in his two years here.

If he leaves after two years I will understand it, but I sure as hell won’t be rooting for him to succeed.

Obviously, I want Skinn to stay, so I’m biased. But Skinn just graduated nearly everyone—he can’t really bring anyone with him to Maryland, maybe Haynes. Simpkins, on the other hand, has a younger roster. Go after him!

This would feel worse IMO. He is home, he hyped this job as a dream, stay several years and to get us to the tournament.

Yes, for me, it's the "there's no place like home" schtick. There's got to be something to a man's word. I could be wrong, but if Tony doesn't leave it won't be because he wanted to stay, but because UMD didn't want him to come.

You mean the same guy that had 6, 7, 6, and 4 day gaps in his feed in the last 2 months? The same guy who is in the most important time of the year, where he is recruiting 24/7 to put together roughly 2/3 of our roster for the upcoming season in just a couple weeks?
