A birdie told me that this website was setup, even though the link hasn't been shared very widely

Mason HQ for the Men's games will be at Yard House and pregaming will start 1 hour before our tipoffs.

However, I expect many of us to gather well in advance of that. I'll be arriving in DC around 1 on the 14th and most likely will head to the bar once settled.

We're scheduled at Fri at 5, the way I read it. Set in stone.
I saw its like 98% likely we play at 5pm on Friday, unless we win 2 and vcu loses 2. Dont' see that scenario happening.

Rocket Bar is still open? Wow. They have been around forever. I think we had a pregame there in like 2018.
I'm removing Rocket Bar from consideration. They don't open until 4PM on Friday's. I'll most likely be found at Clyde's. They open at 11:30AM.

My mistake....thought you were talking about this week's women's game.

Indeed, there is a very slim chance of the men's team getting the #1 seed if vcu loses both of their remaining games. But clearly, barring some catastrophic event (massive flu outbreak on the vcu team), vcu isn't losing those games given the way they've been playing.

ESPN:
i

Atlantic 10
Sunday, March 16, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

Borzello: vcu
Lunardi: vcu
Medcalf: vcu
ESPN Analytics: vcu (49%)

Why vcu will win: From Dec. 31 to Feb. 25, the Rams lost only one game and ascended to the top of the A-10, where they were tied with George Mason for first place. They also own a 16-point victory over the Patriots, a good sign of their postseason potential. It seems as if seniors Joe Bamisile and Max Shulga have played college basketball for decades, but the two veterans can lead vcu to its first NCAA tournament appearance in two years. -- Medcalf

Posting this in here as well
I guess this can go here for now... will repost in the a10 tournament thread when it's made

Atlantic 10 (A-10)

Average seed of champion: 3.5 (T-4th highest)
Average combined seed of finalists: 6.0 (15th highest)

If it feels like this tourney is among the toughest to handicap each year, you're right. That's easy to say after the top four seeds each lost in the quarterfinals last year, setting the stage for eventual bid stealer, Duquesne.

Interestingly, the No. 6 seed has won three of the past five A-10 tourney titles, and a team seeded third or worse has won eight of the past 10.

Meanwhile, life as a No. 2 seed has been rather heartbreaking. No. 2s have reached the title game in seven of the past 11 tournaments, with no titles to show for it. The last 2-seed to win was Temple in 2008.

There have been eight straight A-10 tournaments without a repeat winner, the longest current streak, just ahead of the NEC (seven), Conference USA (seven) and the Southern Conference (six). And it wouldn't take a miracle to get another new winner this year, as three of the top four seeds (as of this writing) haven't won in this span: George Mason, Loyola Chicago and Dayton.

I would have had we beaten Duquesne. I can see vcu dropping their game against Dayton (who might be playing for their double bye lives). But no way they’re losing both.

No way im paying $250 for the all-session tickets lol. Ticketmaster or stubhub has to be a better option.

But the plan is for me, Hax and DAK to be there friday, saturday and SUNDAY to watch GMtm cut down those nets!
See ya'll at Clydes or Yard House, and late night Ben's Chili Bowl after some sweet 930 club show. (havent been to DC in like 15 years lol)

In seasons past, season ticket holders usually get an option to buy tickets game-by-game in an exclusive section—very good seats. The ticket price is reasonable per game and are allocated based on the season tix holder's priority points. Additionally, a pre-game reception at a local restaurant was available as well. I believe the last time we played the A10T in DC the venue was an upstairs party room at Clyde's.

I'm positive there will be a similar offer this time around—we'll see

In recent years (at least since I can remember and have attended in Brooklyn) the a10 has “general admission” sections and then a reserved seating area. Reserved is one side of the arena and usually across from the team benches.

Usually the general admission area are for those who bought through the schools, all session or individual sessions. Seats are not placed on priority points. I usually end up in the first few rows behind the Mason bench when we play with @MasonFanatic.

Based on who’s playing, those fans go behind that team bench. Once the game switches, then fans move for the next group on an honor system.
